O presente estudo teve como objetivo simular a interação entre as proteínas CK-MB e mioglobina, buscando associá-la à insuficiência renal aguda ocasionada pelo infarto agudo do miocárdio e pela rabdomiólise. Para tanto, foi utilizado o programa PyMOL e os seguintes bancos de dados ou servidores: I-TASSER, STRING, Protein Data Bank (PDB), Clus Pro e National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). Deste modo, foi possível obter a estrutura da mioglobina e da CKM, que subsidiou a obtenção do resultado referente à mudança de estrutura do complexo mutado em decorrência do distanciamento da ponte de hidrogênio entre o resíduo de aminoácido mutado da mioglobina e não mutado da CKM. Esta informação poderá subsidiar a criação de novos métodos de prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento da insuficiência renal aguda originada pelo infarto agudo do miocárdio ou pela rabdomiólise.
The objective of the study was to carry out, with the aid of Scopus®️, a scientometric analysis of Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification Assay (LAMP) applied to farm animals. The research has considered articles from January 2000 to December 2019 and only open or closed access articles published in English. The bibliometric matrices were run through RStudio, applying Biblioshiny as a web interface to Bibliometrix resources for R environment. Later, several bibliometric data were collected with the aid of Bibliometrix, most of which were converted into graphs using Microsoft Excel®️. The scientometric analysis base of the current study was composed by 438 articles from 504 researched in the Scopus®️. Of the 438 articles analyzed, it stands out as results: 1) the years of 2015 (11,4%) and 2019 (11,4%) had equally the highest number of publications in the area; 2) Journal of Virological Methods (12,5%) ranked first in the ranking of journals according to total articles published; 3) China (49,8%), Japan (12,7%) and India (7,1%) have been countries of more published articles; 4) most articles applied the assay to detect microorganisms affecting the farm animals; and, 5) together, the animal groups fish, bovine, poultry, and swine corresponded to 2/3 (71,1%) of the animals used in scientific research using the LAMP method. With all these results, it is concluded that the scientometric analysis showed an overview of the information in the articles about LAMP applied to farm animals.
This study aimed to carry out the morphological characterization of the remaining specimens of the Curraleiro horse in municipalities of the state of Goiás, Brazil. Forty male horses were evaluated using the age of five years as a criterion. Sixteen linear measurements and 13 zootechnical indices were obtained. Subsequently, the mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, and covariances of these measures and indices were obtained using the software IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows. The measures withers height (WH), croup height (CH), midback height (MH), sternum-to-ground height (SH), chest index (CI), and estimated weight (W) allowed characterizing Curraleiro horses as small-sized, light, and fast, with proportional measures. The dactyl-thoracic index (DTI), body index (BI), conformation index (CFI), load index 1 and 2 (LOI1 and LOI2), and compactness index 1 and 2 (COI1 and COI2) showed that the Curraleiro horse has an intermediate capacity for speed and strength, bearing considerable weight on the back, with saddling aptitude and fast work. These results represent the beginning of the formation of a database that may contribute to future studies and the conservation of the Curraleiro horse in the state of Goiás.
A técnica de Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification Assay (LAMP) amplamente difundida a partir dos anos 2000, baseia-se na utilização de primers sensíveis e específicos e na utilização da BST DNA polimerase junto à outros reagentes para amplificação de uma sequência alvo de DNA sob temperatura constante. Durante a LAMP ocorrem sucessivos ciclos de etapa não cíclica e cíclica para a produção exponencial de amplicons de comprimentos variáveis. Esses produtos da amplificação podem ser visualizados por eletroforese em gel de agarose, colorimetria e outras técnicas reveladoras da amplificação. Quanto à otimização da técnica, implica em planejamento da reação e execução de diversas procedimentos laboratoriais para confirmação dos resultados obtidos pela LAMP. De acordo com o objetivo do estudo do pesquisador, também é possível optar por uma das variações do ensaio LAMP, como a AS-LAMP, mLAMP e Id-LAMP. Assim, diante do exposto nesta pesquisa, o pesquisador e o público em geral podem conhecer mais sobre essa relevante técnica molecular que tende a passar por constatastes adaptações, reflexo nítido da evolução da ciência rumo à solução de questões cotidianas e à qualidade de vida da sociedade.
