The motor and non‐motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease have been demonstrated to have a significantly detrimental impact on quality of life with an associated increase in care needs as the disease progresses, with dysphagia occurring in more than 80% of patients with the disease. Here, the authors describe the successful implementation of a novel care bundle called FORWARD (Feeding via the Oral Route With Acknowledged Risk of Deterioration) devised by a multiprofessional team to support patients who have an unsafe swallow.
