The concept of education at the basic education level plays an important role in character building and students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. Through science learning, it is hoped that students will not only know the concept, but are directed to be able to solve problems in the surrounding environment. However, the facts show that students in elementary schools still have difficulty solving analytical problems in science learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of metacognition on the ability to solve science problems in fifth grade elementary school students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The sample in this study were 50 grade 5 students, who were selected using a random sampling technique. Data was collected using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the value of tcount was greater than ttable, namely 3,086 > 2,312 at a significance level of = 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of metacognition on the ability to solve science problems. The implications of the results of this study are expected to be used as evaluation material and input for teachers in choosing and using appropriate learning strategies so as to improve problem-solving skills in science learning at the elementary school level.
The purpose of this service is in order to share knowledge and experience in the form of seminars and workshops for school partners with regard to implementation of the alternatives assessment process which was implemented in primary schools. So that by applying an assessment that is expected to accommodate the function, purpose and principles of assessment and also provide additional information for teachers in designing an ideal alternative assessment. The asessmen which will be applied in this devotion is the assessment of the portfolio. This devotion is expected to have a high value of benefits both for proposing his own team, educators, students and the lesson itself. The targets of this devotion, namely; with the dedication is expected to be the subject of study and information for teachers as educators in formulating activities to increase the competence of teachers in elementary schools, which can be done through training, assessment and publishing technical reference and references associated with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of teachers in carry out evaluation of learning by using portfolios, and can provide information reports on the results of this dedication to the principals in an effort to evaluate and improve the quality of the portfolio assessment program in the future.
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan memecahkan masalah pada mahasiswa PGMI FTIK IAIN Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan gaya berpikir divergen dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah IPA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGMI FTIK IAIN Lhokseumawe sebanyak 40 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi Koefisien korelasi sebesar ry = 0,644 (thitung = 5,19 > ttabel = 1, 69 pada taraf signifikansi α =0,05. Dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara gaya berpikir divergen dengan kemampuan memecahkan masalah IPA. Kesimpulan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi gaya berpikir divergen, maka akan semakin tinggi pula kemampuan memecahkan masalah IPA.
Abstrak: Penggunaan teknologi saat ini menjadi kebutuhan utama khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai sarana pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan media berbasis teknologi yaitu video pembelajaran dari youtube memiliki berbagai dampak bagi anak diantaranya akan mempengaruhi interaksi dan pola komunikasi saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media youtube terhadap komunikasi interpersonal anak usia sekolah dasar di SDIT Bunayya Kota Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest- Posttest Only Design, yaitu kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol tidak dipilih secara random dan hanya kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan perlakuan sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak mendapatkan perlakuan. Sampel dikelas eksperimen sebanyak 27 orang dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 25 orang. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t. Hasil perhitungan uji t didapati t hitung > t tabel (3,13 > 2,01) sehingga dapat disimpulkan media youtube memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan komunikasi interpersonal anak usia sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: Media Youtube; Komunikasi Interpersonal; Anak Abstract: The use of technology is currently a major need, especially in the world of education, one of which is by utilizing technology as a learning medium. ABSTRAK Berbagai penelitian, baik di tingkat internasional maupun nasional, mengungkapkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sekolah dasar masih sangat rendah. Padahal, kemampuan memecahkan masalah merupakan bagian dari kodrat manusia yang diciptakan oleh nalar, karena pada prinsipnya tidak ada manusia yang tidak berpikir. Potensi siswa sangat mungkin berkembang pada diri siswa jika guru sebagai jembatan pengetahuan benar-benar menguasai metode pembelajaran dan mengenali karakter siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini mencoba menerapkan strategi pembelajaran menggunakan Didactical Engineerering (DE), sebagai dasar untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SD. Harapannya, pembelajaran menggunakan DE dapat berimplikasi pada pengembangan ilmu pedagogik yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh para guru, khususnya guru sekolah dasar.
