An efficient greener one pot synthesis of dimethyl-dihydro-7H-chromeno[3, 2-h]quinolin-8(9H)-one derivatives has been synthesized through cyclization of aromatic aldehyde, dimidone and 8-hydroxy-quinoline through one-pot condensation method is described. The synthesized compounds are screened for further biological activities against Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus using cut plate method and disc diffusion method.
Synthesis of pyranopyrrole derivatives by using nano ZnO as an efficient catalyst has been reported. The reactions proceed through a one-pot, three component cyclo condensation of 3-hydroxypyrrole, malononitrile and various aromatic aldehydes in the presence of nano Zinc Oxide to afford pyranopyrrole derivatives. The process presented here is operationally simple, environmentally benign and has good yield. Furthermore, the catalyst can be recovered conveniently and reused efficiently.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
