This research aims to explore the kinds of rituals done by the society in around Merapi mountain facing volcanic mountain eruption threat in Cangkringan and find educational meaning in the ritual. This research uses qualitative approach, phenomenology. Research informants are Cangkringan society, Merapi mountain caretaker, and Cangkringan figures. Data collecting technique are participant observation; the researcher involved directly in the ritual. Data then analyzed by using domain, taxonomic, componential, and cultural theme. Research result shows that Cangkringan society in facing Merapi mountain eruption threat is still traditionally by labuhan ritual , laku topo bisu ritual, and sedekah Gunung ritual. These rituals are representation of educational values and local wisdom whose most fundamental objectives are to maintain nature, the values of togetherness, in order and respect to achieve outer and inner harmony.
Authentic online learning is applied at pandemic corona as a strategy to reduce face-to-face in the learning process. The rise of use handphone, gave the idea to implement a mind mapping-based mobile learning system. This research aims to provide an overview of the need to improve student creativity by using mobile learning system-based learning. The study used the class action research method, using the Kemmis and Taggart models. The implementation of research has been conducted with two cycles through planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research object was 40 people consisting of 15 males and 25 women. The programs used in this study are using Microsoft PowerPoint, ISpring, and Website2apkbuilder. The research object is a student of Semester II Civics Education, University PGRI Yogyakarta validity of data using face validity. Based on the results of the study obtained data, the use of mind mapping by using the mobile learning system impacts increasing student creativity. It can be examined from the student creativity evaluation results on pre-research with the average value of 59.41 to 78.21 at Cycle 1, and at 2 increased back creativity to 82.03. Mind mapping based mobile learning can be an online learning alternative by giving the program integrated in one semester. This learning Program can reduce Internet quota use because it can be learned online through Android application.
The purpose of this research was to identify the pattern of character education in St. JosephKindergarten and it was to analyze the application of character education developed by St. JosephKindergarten for early childhood in the family. This research used a qualitative approach. The informants in this research were teachers, parents, and students of St. JosephKindergarten. Data collection techniques carried out by participant observation and in-depth interview. The collected data analyzed using domain analysis, taxonomy, compound, and cultural themes. The result showed that early childhood character education could be formed through school and family collaboration conducted in kindergarten. It can be known through St. Joseph Kindergarten education program that implements the curriculum with technological developments and it can be seen thatchildren inseparable from technology. Character values developed by St. The implementation values was done through routine habituation that applied as long as the children in St. Joseph Kindergarten unit by introducing technology education so that children did not abusing the technology. Fun learning activities management by utilizing student technology can be more creative and participatory. Character building application through Play Store learning can educate students to be wiser in using Gadget applications in modern era.
This research aims to find problems faced by five EFL students in implementing TikTok as a speaking learning medium. This study used a qualitative methodology, including data collection techniques such as observation and questionnaires, and data analysis procedures such as data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/verification from Miles and Huberman (1994), with the researchers serving as the primary instrument and the students serving as the primary informants. The findings of the study indicated that the students confront several challenges when using TikTok as a spoken learning medium. Their challenges are the inability to concentrate due to the distractions from other videos, insufficient teacher's written explanation, and a lack of interaction with others. As a result, a teacher should combine this medium with other media to improve the teaching and learning process. The results of this study have pedagogical significance in the area of implementing social media in speaking instruction.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis internalisasi nilai motivasi dan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa jarak jauh di UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta dalam menyelesaikan studi di UPBJJ-UT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter motivasi belajar dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta untuk menyelesaikan studi mereka. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Manajer UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, Mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, dan Keluarga Mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik domain dengan pendekatan tipologi umur, jarak rumah, dan pendapatan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan kemandirian dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan perkuliahan. Motivasi dan kemandirian yang tinggi membuat siswa lebih rajin belajar, sebaliknya mahasiswa yang memiliki motivasi dan kemandirian rendah membuat mereka malas untuk belajar. Fnomena yang terjadi di UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta terlihat bahwa motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa masih relatif rendah. Secara umum, mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta hanya akan belajar jika mendekati waktu ujian atau jika ada tugas tutorial saja. Rendahnya nilai motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta berdampak pada rendahnya daya tahan belajar siswa.Tingkat kelulusan rata-rata mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta menunjukkan bahwa 70% tidak dapat lulus tepat waktu, semakin tinggi motivasi dan kemandirian mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta, maka mahasiswa dapat lulus sesuai dengan waktu yang ditentukan.
