This article aims to describe the symbolic meaning of the acculturation Telonan and Tingkeban which is believed and preserved by the people of Kunti-Mranggen Village, Kediri, Indonesia. This study uses a type of qualitative research with a folklore approach. This research was conducted for one year using the method of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. In addition to being a research instrument, researchers also participated in the telonan and tingkeban culture with the aim of finding the comprehensive meaning of the object under study. Data analysis in this study uses the deductive method with source triangulation as the checker of the data validity. The results of this study are: 1) Telonan is an activity of praying for pregnant women and their babies during the age of the womb-reaching 3 months into 4 months. While Tingkeban is carried out when the womb reaches 7 months. This activity is carried out with the aim that mothers and babies are always given safety and health by God, as well as fluency in the process of giving birth to the fetus later; 2) In carrying out the telonan and tingkeban several Javanese foods such as jenang abang, jenang putih, buceng ketan, keleman, cucumber, sego golong, sego semaron, sego rogoh, gedhang setangkep, dawet, and rujak are each of these ingredients has symbolic meaning; 3) The values that emerge from the telonan and tingkeban traditions include the value of helping, harmony, friendship, hablumminallah and hablumminannas. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna simbolik dari akulturasi “Telonan dan Tingkeban” yang diyakini dan dilestarikan oleh masyarakat Dusun Kunti, Mranggen Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan folklor. Selain menjadi instrumen penelitian, peneliti juga berpartisipasi dalam budaya telonan dan tingkeban tersebut dengan tujuan menemukan makna yang komprehensif dari obyek yang diteliti. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deduktif dengan triangulasi sumber sebagai pengecek keabsahan datanya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) Telonan adalah kegiatan mendoakan ibu yang sedang hamil beserta bayi yang dikandungnya saat usia kandungan mencapai 3 bulan memasuki 4 bulan. Sedangkan Tingkeban dilaksanakan pada saat usia kandungan mencapai 7 bulan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan agar ibu dan bayi senantiasa diberi keselamatan dan kesehatan oleh Allah, serta kelancaran dalam proses melahirkan janinnya nanti; 2) Dalam pelaksanaan telonan & tingkeban ini dihidangkan beberapa jenis makanan khas Jawa seperti jenang merah, jenang putih, buceng ketan, keleman, timun, sego golong, sego semaron, sego rogoh, gedhang setangkep, dawet, dan rujak yang masing-masing bahan tersebut memiliki makna simbolik; 3) Nilai-nilai yang muncul dari tradisi telonan dan tingkeban di antaranya nilai tolong-menolong, kerukunan, silaturrahim, hablumminallah dan hablumminannas.
The objective of this research is to determine the appropriate leadership strategy to develop school culture by implementing digital turats learning in one of the High Schools in Jombang City, Indonesia. This involved using a qualitative ex post facto design with the data collected through observation, documentation, audio and visual materials, and in-depth interviews conducted with the principal, vice-principal, and teachers. The data obtained were sorted, displayed, and used to draw conclusions, and later validated through continuous observation, triangulation, member checks, and peer discussions. This study showed that the appropriate strategy to develop school culture involves several steps with the first being the development of trust by being committed to the vision and mission of the school. The second step is to formulate school programs and branding as a means to develop school culture with a team of experts with school values. The third step is to provide resolution, human resources, and all the necessary facilities for the development of school culture. Moreover, the organization of turats learning through design, implementation, and evaluation of learning outcomes was conducted through the application of Islamic boarding school-based digital technology by competent teachers. This study aims to describe the implementation of the SLM in MTsN 2 Kediri City , the benefits of applying SLM, the constraints faced , and to analyze the implementation of the SLM with reading theory from Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren. The research method used was qualitative with the type of case study research. The subjects of this study were the school principal, deputy school principal in the curriculum, Indonesian Language teachers, and students. Data obtained through in- depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Next data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which included the stages of selecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. To check the validity of the data, researchers extended the observation and triangulation of sources and data collection techniques. The results of this study are: 1) The SLM in MtsN 2 Kediri City is implemented through reading corner activities; Wall magazine; environmental conditioning that is full of motivational sentences; habit of reading the Qur'an; as well as assignments on Indonesian Language subjects, the form of assignments such as: summarizing some types of books such as old novels, biographies, fantasy stories and popular knowledge; 2) The benefits of implementing this program are students being diligent in reading, trained in composing sentences, getting to know the types of books, and increasing their knowledge; 3) The constraints faced this program are the lack of available reading material in the library; students have difficulty in getting the type of books required; and difficulties in summarizing thick books; and 4) The implementation of SLM in MTsN 2 Kediri City is categorized in the third level of reading theory of Mortimer Adler and Charles Van Doren. It can be seen from the type of task assigned for participants learners to review book until the analysis, it is to display the advantages as well as the shortage of books read.
Teknologi yang semakin maju dan zaman yang terus berkembang menuntut lembaga pendidikan untuk survive dan mampu menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat. Sehingga dibutuhkan manajemen kurikulum yang bersifat futuristik namun tidak meninggalkan tradisi yang sudah baik. Kurikulum integratif dalam pendidikan menjadi salah satu solusi ideal dalam menjawab tantangan tersebut. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan manajemen kurikulum integratif di SMA Trensains Tebuireng Jombang serta menganalisisnya perspektif pemikiran Hassan Hanafi. Artikel ini merupakan library research dan analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala SMA Trensains Tebuireng Jombang memiliki peran penting dalam fungsi manajemen kurikulum integratif, mulai dari perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pemberdayaan, pengawasan, hingga evaluasi. Manajemen kurikulum integratif di SMA Trensains yang disebut dengan Kurikulum Semesta relevan dengan pemikiran Hassan Hanafi. Kurikulum Semesta di lembaga ini sudah dilaksanakan dengan manajemen yang baik dan hasilnya membanggakan, dibuktikan dengan prestasi-prestasi yang diraih dalam banyak perlombaan sains di tingkat nasional. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa seorang pemimpin lembaga pendidikan penting untuk mengintegrasikan tradisi dan modernitas untuk bisa survive. Turats tidak boleh menjadi barang mati yang hanya tersimpan di perpustakaan. Ajaran agama tidak boleh sekedar menjadi dogma. Kontekstualitas ajaran agama dengan modernitas menjadi sebuah keniscayaan untuk menyelenggarakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang unggul dan kompetitif. Increasingly advanced technology and the age are constantly evolving demands of educational institutions to survive and answer the community's needs. So, it takes a futuristic management curriculum but does not leave the wonderful tradition. Integrative curriculum in education to be one of the ideal solutions in answering the challenge. This article aims to describe the management of an integrative curriculum in Trensains Senior High School Tebuireng Jombang and analyze the perspective of the thought of Hassan Hanafi. This article is library research and data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results showed that the Trensains Senior High School Tebuireng Jombang has a vital role in managing an integrative curriculum, including planning, organizing, implementing, empowerment, monitoring, and evaluation. Management integrative curriculum in Trensains Senior High School called with the curriculum of the universe relevant to the thought of Hassan Hanafi. The curriculum universe in this institution has been carried out with good management. The results are encouraging, evidenced by the achievements in many science races at the national level. Based on these results, it can be concluded that a leader of educational institutions is essential to integrate tradition and modernity to survive. Turats may not be dead, which is only stored in the library. The teachings of the religion should not simply be dogma. The context of the teachings of the faith with modernity becomes necessary to organize the educational institutions of Islam that are superior and competitive.
In this fully disruption era, the practical Islamic education learning gained a lot of criticism and challenges. One of which comes from the symptom of the knowledge dichotomy that attacks the Islamic educational practice. Various parties have tried and synergized to find the best solution. Experts have initiated the integrative education. The Ministry of Religion has pioneered the solution through an approach, it is Multidisciplinary Islamic Education. Through this article, as an academician, the writer tries to elaborate the design of Multidisciplinary and integrative approach as the real form in making the Islamic Education learning more meaningful to learners. This article is written qualitatively based on library research using relevant primary and several secondary sources to describe Multidisciplinary approach and integrative approach from the concept to the practical examples in the Islamic Education learning. Through the eclective method, hopefully, it can brush aside the criticism toward Islamic Education which tends to the dichotomous.
