Abstrak Programmable Logic Controller atau yang biasa disebut PLC merupakan suatu perangkat yang di program sesuai kebutuhan proses industri spesifik yang diinginkan berdasarkan logic (perhitungan aritmatik dalam suatu perintah), yang bertujuan untuk mengontrol dan mengatur proses yang diinginkan sehingga menghasilkan output yang diinginkan pula. Kegiatan ini sebagai implementasi bidang ilmu teknologi rekayasa bandar udara yang diharapkan memberi peningkatan keterampilan yang dapat menjadi bekal dalam dunia kerja bagi para peserta pelatihan. Kegiatan difokuskan dengan melakukan pelatihan Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) pada siswa sekolah menengah atas di kota Palembang. Adapun konsep pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 1 (satu) hari dengan menggunakan pendekatan 30 % teori dan 70 % praktek. meliputi pengenalan sistem dan pemrograman PLC dengan menggunakan ladder diagram yang diharapkan para siswa yang telah mengikuti pelatihan ini memiliki keterampilan di bidang otomasi yang bisa menjadi bekal dalam memasuki dunia kerja. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas pada pelaksanaan praktikum adalah 90,5 (Sembilan puluh koma lima). In the era of education 4.0 which is characterized by the use of digital technology, the learning process is not limited to space and time. This allows the implementation of distance learning as a springboard for a new educational model. The Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic is a vocational education institution under the supervision of Direktorat Kelaikudaraan dan Pengoperasian Pesawat Udara (DKPPU). DKPPU as the airworthiness and operation authority has issued letter regarding the online learning system method due to the covid pandemic. One of the determining factors for the success of learning process is the use of appropriate learning media. The choice of learning media influenced by the characteristics of the learner. Therefore, it is important to know the learning styles of students. Thus, this study aims to determine the learning style tendencies of Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic cadets to obtain recommendations for selecting the right media in distance learning. The data collection process involved 900 cadets who were asked to fill out a learning style questionnaire which would later be analyzed quantitatively. For data triangulation, interview sessions were also held for selected cadets. From the results of data analysis, it was concluded that the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic cadets tended to have visual learning styles (54% or 485 cadets) and auditory (13% or 121 cadets). So, the media recommendations are audio/video tutorials, interactive multimedia, and simulator software. However, a total of 126 cadets do not know their learning styles. They need to be assisted in-class during class learning to increase achievement motivation.
Vocational education prepares the workforce, so that in the process required learning that closer to the world of work. Internship there are two methods, namely cognitive apprenticeship and on-the-job training (OJT). The cognitive apprenticeship method is designed to bring the tacit process indirectly openly, where learners can observe, enact, and practice with the help of learners and other learners. OJT is a work instruction that occurs in the work environment and during work. Self-efficacy is a self-assessment belief with regard to one's competence to succeed in his tasks. In both methods, it is necessary to examine the effect on the self-efficacy of the apprentices. Because the factor of self-efficacy can affect success in the work. CA emphasizes problem-solving and task assignments and focuses on guiding cognitive and metacognitive learning, not on the physical, skills and processes. OJT is a work instruction that occurs in the work environment and during work, so in its implementation there tends to be no active participation from the participants. The results show that CA greatly affects the self-efficacy of interns rather than OJT. In cognitive apprenticeship placements, participants are given the freedom to solve the problems gained so as to have an impact on increased confidence. While on the OJT, the participants only followed instructions from the instructors in the field.
Characteristic of viscous flow through a contour always become the interesting topic to be studied. This research studied characteristic of turbulent viscous flow through a flat plate mounted by bump. Target of this research is to know the flow characteristic through the semicircle, triangle and quadrangular bump, and also to get distribution coefficient of pressure (Cp), separation point, coefficient of pressure drag (CDp) and coefficient of total drag (CD). Beside that, in this research also conduct smoke visualization to know visualization of turbulent viscous flow through a flat plate mounted by bump. This experiment is conducted in subsonic wind tunnel. Form of the bump that is used are semicircle, triangle and quadrangular, and free stream velocity equal to 9.75 m/s and 15.5 m/s. Pressure coefficient got from static pressure measurement over flat plate and bump by using wall pressure tap. Coefficient of pressure drag (CDp) got from calculation based pressure. The measurement of velocity profile over flat plate and bump by using pitot tube. Measurement conducted at 6 point before side of upstream bump, 1 point at top bump and 13 point after side of downstream bump where distance between the points are 20 mm. While for the direction of vertical, the measurement taken at 80 point started from height 80 mm from surface until near the surface. Existence of bump on flat plate result the flow becomes separation so that generate the total drag force addition over flat plate. The highest total drag force occured on flat plate with triangle bump, then on flat plate with quadrangular bump and the smallest occur on flat plate with semicircle bump.
