Introduction: POSTD and depression are psychosomatic disorders that can be manifested as a result of rape and are a major threat to the health of victims. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Client-Centered Therapy on PTSD and depression in raped women in Bandar Abbas. Methods: The statistical population of the study was 30 female victims of rape in the age group of 13-30 years who referred to psychology, counseling, and welfare offices of Bandar Abbas in 1396. The subjects were selected using convenient sampling method and assigned into two groups of experimental (n = 15) and control (n = 15). This was a pretest-posttest and semi-experimental study and the data collection tools were a short form of Beck Depression Inventory and Mississippi Post-Traumatic Stress Scale (PTSD). After the pre-test, the experimental intervention (Client-Centered Therapy) was performed for the experimental group and then the post-test was performed. Data were analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Results of multivariate covariance analysis showed that the client-centered treatment improved participants' depression and psychological stress in all subscales of PTSD (P-value <0.05). Conclusion: It can be claimed that the Client-Centered Therapy is effective on PTSD and depression.
