Generally differentiating men and women in society as a gender study is itself increasing the discrimination. It is in the name of eliminating discrimination activists are uniting, registering, advocating the weaker section of the society for political benefit. The weaker section is being stronger to fight against the stronger section to intensify the conflict for political benefit. The recent accident of Rukum district is the product of conflict-led politics of modernity. A Dalit boy went to marry his non-Dalit love with some of his friends but her people made them jump on the Karnali River to save their lives but killed. The incident was highly politically motivated. Until we follow the philosophy of modernity, the same kind of incidents may repeat time and again. The study is to analyze biology as destiny in gender inequality. Methodologically the study is a critical analysis of modernism on the issues of gender inequality. Men are men and women are women with pride, no regression at all. No one can eliminate destiny or Prarabdha but we can neutralize it.
The main reason behind inequality is access to less power which is a byproduct of illiteracy and less income. An illiterate female cannot counter for herself neither can she counters for her offspring (mostly girls). To find out the gender inequality, this study has been conducted in Ward-16of Bharatpur metropolitan city. With the use of census method, this study primarily focuses on the primary data taken in whole ward and the secondary data collected from other sources. In the total population of 17546, 9197 are female and remaining 8349 are male. The survey research designwas used whereas purposive and simple random sampling was followed to select the respondents. The study was conducted in Chitwan district. The finding of the research is that there is inequality in male and female population in ward 16 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. This inequality can only be broken if the sphere of planning is strengthened so as to uproot the root of inequality. Equality measure being one of the most important indicator of development, the only way to achieve the sustainable development goal is to empower all the population present inside nation.
The issues of elderly people in Nepal are different in nature. The main objective of the study is to collect and identify the different types of issues of old-age people. Normally the issues or problems related to elderly are divided in five categories i.e., cultural, economic, health, psychological, and social. It is the general review of listed references to collect and identify the issues of senior citizen. A caretaker or old age home manager must be able to address all such issues while working with old-age people. It is necessary to maintain cordial relations with old age people. To manage the disorders, we need highly sophisticated old age homes all over the country. Governments should pay more social security to inject money in market and make happy elderly friendly society. It can contribute gender equality as well.
Old-age homes are Sanyas Ashrams in Vedic philosophy. Sanyas Ashram is the preparation of death and it teaches the art of death. It is the university of art of death of old and experienced people who can share the knowledge and experiences of their lifetime achievements. The main objective of the study is to examine the socio economic and cultural status of old-age people living in Deveghat pilgrimage areas. It is a mini ethnography study based on field visit observation, focus group discussion and unstructured interview. I conclude that the old-age homes of Devghat are normal in-terms of the lifestyle of the elderly living there, their happiness level and the facility provided to them. Lastly the major reasons behind them coming to the old-age home was rather found to be in a mixed bag form as some came there due to the social reasons and economic reasons and some due to their faith in god and in belief of getting peace after death. But it has long way to go to make like a heaven type of Sanyas Ashram. At least it must be like a Vrindavan with entire worldly facilities of learning and sharing of knowledge production university.
