Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is a soft tissue sarcoma found in young & elderly and rarely in children. It is rarely confined exclusively to skin and subcutis. In most cases it is only diagnosed after excision and analysis of the tumour. It is aggressive presenting a high degree of local recurrence and metastasis. This article reports a case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma on an extremity of 73 year old patient.
Cloacogenic carcinoma is a rare tumor of the ano-rectal region originating from a persistent remnant of the cloacal membrane of the embryo. The tumor accounts for 2-3% of anorectal carcinomas. Abdominoperineal resection is the treatment of choice with a five year survival of 50%.
Spontaneous haemorrhage into the parapharyngeal space is a rare complication of anticoagulant therapy. Two such cases, one with spontaneous resolution managed conservatively another with massive haemorrhage causing airway obstruction massive haemothorax requiring surgical intervention, are presented.
Primary liposarcoma of the pectoralis major muscle is extremely rare. We report a case of liposarcoma of the pectoralis major muscle which was treated with surgical excision and post operative radiotherapy. Careful followup is mandatory for detecting recurrences.
