Purpose -The purpose of this study is to empirically test the relationship between intellectual capital (i.e. human capital, structural capital, relational capital) and business performance within the pharmaceutical sector of Jordan. Design/methodology/approach -A valid research instrument was utilized to conduct a survey of 132 top-and middle-level managers from all 15 members of the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. Findings -A correlation and path analysis were conducted to ascertain the validity of the measures and models. Statistical support was found for the hypothesized relationships.Research limitations/implications -The findings offer valuable insights on the generalizability of intellectual capital in a novel research setting. Practical implications -Intellectual capital measurement is of primary interest for senior executives of pharmaceutical firms in Jordan. Originality/value -The research reported is among only a few to investigate the issue of intellectual capital in Egypt and the first to study pharmaceutical firms.
This research aims to study the impact of electronic information overload on knowledge management functions in Jordanian industrial companies. The research population included all Jordanian industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. A simple random sample of 30% of the research population of 1242 seniors and middle managers in the research population was done to 373 individuals. 206 questionnaires are successfully retrieved to be analyzed. Descriptive and heuristic statistical methods such as simple and multiple regression analysis were applied using SPSS.16 program. The obtained result indicated that there is a statistically significant impact of the electronic information overload (organizational overload) on the knowledge management functions (acquisition, generation, transmission, sharing, and application of knowledge) in Jordanian industrial companies. In the scope of the results, this work made a number of recommendations, including: Adopting an organizational aspect that suits the nature of the tasks that the industrial companies operate in Jordan, in addition to providing technical capabilities to reduce the electronic information overload faced by the industrial companies in Jordan while practicing their tasks.
The study aimed at exploring the impact of the workplace bullying behavior on the fulfillment of the strategic goals at Jordanian Custom Department. Such behavior was measured through three dimensions; (the work-based bullying behavior, the interpersonal bullying behavior and the bullying behavior that is based on physical and verbal abuse). In order to fulfill the study's objective, the researchers developed a questionnaire for collecting the required data. A random sample was selected, and consisted 150 employees. The collected data was analyzed statistically through using descriptive and analytical statistical methods. In addition, multiple and simple regression analysis were used to analyze the collected data, to examine the study's hypotheses. It was concluded that there is a moderate impact for the workplace bullying measured by its dimensions on the fulfillment of the strategic goals. The researchers recommended the improvement of the interpersonal relationships among employees at each section of the Jordan Customs Department (JCD) through top management efforts.

This study was based on the descriptive analytical method, which was a group of companies producing medicines in all of Iraq, which number up to the preparation of the study (18) companies, The sample of the study was taken from these companies in a simple random sample (12) companies. The sampling unit consisted of the assistance of the general managers of the company and the heads of the departments. The number of them was (78). The study found a set of results of which, there is a statistically significant effect of organizational learning on the quality of the creative performance of staff to general managers and heads department. Based on the findings of the study were presented a set of recommendations was the most prominent, the medicine manufacturers to adopt modern management concepts, especially organizational learning to become able to adapt and harmony with the environmental challenges.
