The P-V-T relations of hydrogen-light hydrocarbon gaseous mixtures are important for the rational design of apparatus used in the petrochemical industry and for the development of an equation of state.
The undecapeptide, human glucagon (19-29), was prepared as immunogen for production of pancreatic glucagon-specific antisera by the conventional method for peptide synthesis, and a radioimmunoassay with use of antiserum raised against the synthetic undecapeptide was developed. The assay system was evaluated for the measurement of plasma immunoreactive glucagon.
Galanin-like immunoreactivity (91.3 pmol/ g frozen tissue) was detected by a radioimmunoassay using anti-galanin(]-15) serum in the pituitary extract of yellowfin tuna. The peptide with immunoreactive galanin was isolated by several purification steps, using ion exchange chromatography and reverse phase HPLC. Tuna galanin comprised 29 amino acid residues and contained an a-amidated C-terminal residues. Its complete amino acid se-
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
