The transformation of the green area to religious facility area at Acıbadem border of the Validebağ Grove and the protests against the ongoing construction of the mosque in 2014, called as Validebağ Resistance. This article was compiled from a part of the thesis of Validebağ Resistance, consisting of twenty two indepth interviews conducted with two separate groups; those in favor and those who are against the actions in Validebağ. The questions which include the word "mosque" were answered by the participant perceived as being against or in favor of the religion. Those who are against any kind of construction in green spaces, are supportive for the construction of the mosque. Based on Validebağ, religion affects the language and the opinion. Religious symbols seem to have a power to create a legitimate response as passing beyond individual's actual opinion.
