In this study, endemic two species belonging to the genus Linum and distributed in Türkiye are investigated. The outermost layer of the Linum flavum subsp. scabrinerve (P.H. Davis) P.H. Davis root, according to its cross-section, is covered with epidermis cells. In the stem cross-section, the vascular bundles are in the form of a continuous ring and sclerenchyma cells are determined on it. The lower surface and the upper surfaces of leaf have 88 and 51 stomata respectively. It contains few glandular hairs. The root of Linum hirsutum subsp. pseudoanatolicum P. H. Davis have secondary growth. Periderm cells on the outside are oval or isodiametric in shaped. In the stem cross-section, vascular bundles are in the form of a continuous ring. The cortex layer, consists of oval or rectangular shaped 9-10 rows of parenchymatous cells. The lower surface and the upper surfaces of leaf have 48 and 46 stomata respectively. No glandular or non-glandular hairs are found on the epidermis. As a result, anatomical comparison of two different taxa belonging to the same genus was made with this study. According to the findings, the root structures of the species, the presence of sclerenchyma on the stem, the size of the stomata of the leaf, mesophyll types and the presence of glandular hairs are different from each other.
In this study, endemic Onosma mollis DC. it is aimed to examine the anatomical and ecological features of (Boraginaceae) plant in detail and to be compared with the other studies. According to the cross-sections, the root is secondary. Primary pith rays that 2-3 layered are observed. Epidermis is single-layered in stem transverse section. Eglandular hairs in the epidermis are simple, with one and two cells. Glandular hairs are capitate, digitate and with two cells. Just under the epidermis, 2-3 rows of collenchyma cells are formed. Both the upper and the lower surface of leaf is covered with numerous eglandular hairs. Eglandular hairs are 2-3 branched. Glandular hairs are of capitate, digitate and peltate type. The habitat of the O. mollis plant is mountain slopes, meadows, and prairies. The soil in which the species grows is clay and loamy. It is also classified as slightly alkaline, salty, calcareous, low phosphorus and high in potassium. According to its organic matter content, it is in the group of good humus soils.
Yaprağın her iki yüzeyi palizat parankiması hücreleri içerir. Sünger parankiması hücreleri, mezofilin merkezinde ince bir tabaka halinde olup ve 1-2 sıralıdır. Stomalar anomositiktir. T. latifolia'nın metanol yaprak ekstraktının antibakteriyal ve antifungal aktivitesi, Gram (+) (Micrococcus luteus, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermis) ve Gram (-) (Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudumonas aeroginosa, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Proteus vulgaris, Enterobacter aerogenes) bakterilerine ve mayaya (Candida albicans) karşı araştırıldı. Ekstrakt, farklı patojenik suşların gelişmesi üzerinde değişen derecelerde inhibisyon etkisi göstermiştir. Ek olarak, T. latifolia'nın metanol yaprak ekstresinin (TLm) mutajenik aktivitesi analiz edildi. Sonuçlar, TLm'nin 10, 25 ve 50 uL'lik konsantrasyonlarının antimutajenik aktiviteye sahip olduğunu gösterdi.
