Background: Learning process has to generate interest in the students and motivate them to set goals with the optimistic approach. Learning
should become enjoyable experience rather than strenuous regress task. The Jigsaw technique is designed for cooperative learning in small groups.
Students are provided the opportunity to become "experts" in a particular subject, and share that knowledge with their peers. This technique
promotes both self and peer teaching which requires students to understand the material at a deeper level and engage in discussion, problem
solving, and learning. The Jigsaw technique can help students to Develop expertis Aim/objective: e in a concept, topic or principle, Practice self
and peer teaching. Descriptive Study. Majority of the students (52% ) opined that Method: Results: Jigsaw method was excellent, (30%) polled
for Good, (13%) polled for Very Good and (4%) for Average score on Mentimeter Refection scale.
Student engagement is a current buzzword in higher education, increasingly researched, theorized, and debated with growing evidence of its critical role in achievement and learning. The quantitative survey design was used to collect the data to explore nursing student's engagement in selected college of nursing to develop strategies for student engagement. The objective of the study was to explore student's engagement in academics. The total subjects enrolled were 144 nursing students. The data was collected using 5 point student engagement instrument after obtaining written informed consent. Results were analyzed using SPSS. The ndings were mean score obtained for second year & third year students were respectively 25.86 and 20.66.The student engagement was seen lowest among rst year & nal year nursing students. The teacher student relationship, peer support, family support & learning, control & relevance of assignment & homework, future goal aspirations and intrinsic motivation was found highest among second & third year students. As the Engagement Indicators measured distinct elements of student engagement, they could be used as a framework to help shape these actions and to rene the curriculum to provide a more responsive student-centred learning environment.
