The Youth Red Cross (Palang Merah Remaja (PMR)) is a forum for fostering and developing Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI)) youth members, PMR is one of PMI's strengths in carrying out humanitarian activities in the health sector. Various health problems that may occur anywhere and anytime that have fatal consequences such as choking can cause respiratory system disorders that can lead to death. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and management of PMR members in choking management. The method of this activity is to collaborate with the teacher of the Genteng 1 Public Middle School in informing the holding of Community Service about education and training in the management of choking, then follow-up to the principal of the Genteng 1 Public Middle School. Dissemination to students involved in training events. Training for students who are accompanied by PMR advisors about education and training in the management of choking. To support the success of this event, students were allowed to practice directly to the panthom and friends. The results of this activity showed an increase in knowledge about the management of 75% of choking with high expertise and increased ability (practice) in the control of 85% of choking with top practice ability. With this training, it is expected that all schools, especially PMR, will be able to carry out optimal handling of choking.
Diabetes mellitus is a disorder of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism caused by abnormal performance of insulin in the body, causing hyperglycemia. Diabetes causes various complications in the body. The most common complication in DM sufferers is diabetic ulcers which end in amputation (30%). This study aims to provide an overview of the level of knowledge about wound prevention in DM sufferers in Tegalharjo Village. The research design used a quantitative descriptive method with a total sampling technique adjusted for the exclusion and inclusion criteria. Respondents in this study amounted to 45 people. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire that had been tested by previous researchers. The results showed that the majority of DM sufferers in Tegalharjo Village had enough knowledge with 21 respondents (46.7%), 15 respondents (33.3%) had good knowledge, and 9 respondents (20%) lacked knowledge. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis because it only wanted to describe 1 variable, namely the level of knowledge about wound prevention. Knowledge possessed by DM sufferers can be a domain in behavior. However, the application of knowledge also requires education and family support so that DM sufferers are able to implement proper wound prevention.
The Covid-19 pandemic period is a stressful time felt by most students, this happens because of new habits that must be carried out strictly so as not to be exposed to the Covid-19 virus. This stress affects students in carrying out the learning process and can reduce motivation in doing thesis. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of the incidence of stress and motivation in the preparation of the thesis. The research method is a non-experimental quantitative descriptive correlational type. This research was conducted at the Rustida Health Academy with the research sample being the sixth semester students of the DIII Nursing Study Program with a total sample of 74 students. Data were obtained using the Stress Analysis questionnaire in this study using the depression anxiety stress scale 42 (DASS 42) by Lavibond & Lavibond. While the motivation score using the Motivated strstegies of learning Questioner (MSLQ) method with the Krukall Walss test p 0.158 > 0.05. The results showed that there was no effect of the incidence of stress on the motivation for writing the thesis of the sixth semester students of the DIII Nursing Study Program for the 2019-2020 Academic Year. The conclusion is that the stress experienced by most of the students is at a moderate level and the motivation in working on the thesis is high.
Hepatitis is a public health problem in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. Hepatitis A attacks the liver because Hepatitis A virus infection can be caused by a virus. Pukesmas Sumbersari recorded the highest number of Hepatitis A patients with 79 cases in Jember Regency. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of adolescents about Hepatitis A and Hepatitis A prevention methods in the village of Sumbersari, Jember Regency. Design of this study used quantitative methods with descriptive correlation analysis design with cross sectional approach. The population in this study was the adolescent village of Sumbersari, Jember Regency as many as 57 populations. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling. The statistical test used was Chi-Square with a significant standard (< 0.05). Based on the bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test , it was found that the significant level of value ( ρ) was 0.026 because ( ρ ): 0.026 < α 0.05, then Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge of adolescents about hepatitis A and how to prevent hepatitis A in the village. Sumbersari Jember Regency. Based on the results of the study, the adolescents in Sumbersari Village with the knowledge level were mostly moderate, namely 58% and by the prevention method, most of them were good, namely 88%.
