The advent of cloud technology involving low subscription overheads cost has provided small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the opportunity to adopt new cloud-based corporate-wide systems (i.e., cloud ERP). This technology, operating through subscriptionbased services, has now provided SMEs with a complete range of IT applications that were once restricted to large organisations. As anecdotal evidences suggest, SMEs are increasingly adopting cloud-based ERP software. The selection of an ERP is a complex process involving multiple stages and stakeholders, suggesting the importance of closer examination of cloud ERP adoption in SMEs. Yet, prior studies have predominantly treated technology adoption as a single activity and largely ignored the issue of ERP adoption in SMEs. Understanding of the process nature of the adoption and the factors that are important in each stage of the adoption potentially may result in guiding SMEs to make well-informed decisions throughout the ERP selection process. Thus, our study proposes that the adoption of cloud ERP should be examined as a multi-stage process. Using the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) and Ettlie's adoption stages, as well as employing data gathered from 162 owners of SMEs, our findings show that the factors that influence the intention to adopt cloud ERP vary significantly across adoptive stages.
Maintenance services are performed to ensure the equipment is operating according to manufacturer standard and maintained at a desired level of quality. The implementation of maintenance services may prevent unexpected breakdown and disruption of operations in a hospital. However, there were numbers of cases reported on the frequent breakdown of medical equipment even though the maintenance program is in place and practised. Therefore, the reliability of the maintenance services was questioned especially when the breakdowns occurred after the maintenance services being performed. This paper proposes a conceptual framework to determine the accurate maintenance program for medical equipment in the hospital using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) method. The recommendation from the RCM will assist to identify the root cause of the breakdown and minimize the number of breakdown for medical equipment in the hospital. RCM process is known as one of the most effective maintenance approaches to reduce the number of maintenance activities and hence minimizing the cost of maintenance incurred.
The Convergent Parallel Design mixed method is used as the research methodology to assess the usage of multi-touch hand gestures towards fine motor skills among preschool children. This study involved 30 pre-school children aged between 5 to 6 years old from Pusat Asuhan Tunas Islam. The samples are divided into multi-touch gestures group and single touch gestures group. The quantitative data were the test scores of a dot-to-dot activity and the qualitative data were the preschool children's emergent behaviors while engaging with mobile apps and controlling writing instruments. The quantitative data were analyzed by using independent sample T-Test and paired sample T-Test. The findings showed that there is a significant difference between the two groups as the independent sample T-Test indicate the value of sig, p = 0.029. The paired sample T-Test also indicate that the pre-test score and post-test score are significantly positive correlated (r = 0.503) and the value of sig, p = 0.005 showed that there is significance difference between pre-test score and post-test score. The statistical data proved that there is an effect of the use multi-touch hand gesture in mobile application towards pre-school children's fine motor skills which is also supported by qualitative findings. As for conclusion, the use of multi-touch hand gestures can help the pre-school children to implement small movements of their fingers which indirectly develop their fine motor skills thus helping them holding and using pencils and some other instruments appropriately.
The increasing of urban population demands the development of new technologies that provide sustainable living. This issue might debilitate the quality life of urban residents though city life always associated with national economic growth engine and social progress. Many initiatives have been commenced in elevating the economic status of urban residents including urban farming activities. In Malaysia, several stakeholders have pushed the potential of urban farming activities that help to create job, increase income, and serve as an urban garbage sink. Nonetheless, research that investigated urban farming activities could improve the economic status of urban residents still very lacking. Thus, this research aims to explore potential urban farming activities through structured literature reviews (SLR). It searched all the selected databases and found 851 papers: 378 from ScienceDirect, 17 from Web of Science and 456 from Scopus. These databases comprised comprehensive literature that concentrate on urban farming activities in Southeast Asia. Subsequently, the process of filtering was achieved based on intelligent processes. The process consists of three iterations of filtering, excluding duplicate articles, filtering titles and abstracts and reading full text articles. About 90 articles has been derived for the final classification of urban farming sub-topics. The details of the key features of topics will be discussed in the research which include the following aspects: the motivation towards urban farming activities, the advantages of urban farming especially for increasing the economic status of urban residents. The finding from this research could be used for future researchers to understand several sub-topics that related with urban farming urban residents that remain unexplored.
