Identification and antagonism test endophytic fungi of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) to control bacterial vascular (Xanthomonas albilineans). This research aims to find potential endophytic fungi to against X. albilineans on sugarcane with use method autoclaving and membrane filtration sterilization. The research was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Agroecotechnology Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan from April to December 2014. It was done by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Factorial with three factor and three replications. The first factor were endophytic fungi 1, endophytic fungi 2. The second factor were dilution 10 -1 , 10 -2 , 10 -3 dan 10 -4 . The three factor sterilization method were autoclaving and membrane filtration. The results showed all the endophytic fungi Aspergillus sp. better use membrane filtration sterilization and Hormiscium sp. better use autoclaving sterilization. Both fungi are potentially as biological agents to control bacterial vascular wilt on sugarcane. The best results obtained on Hormiscium sp.with diameter of inhibiting zone 9,04 mm with use autoclaving sterilization.
Watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard.) is a fruit plant that grows vines. One of the horticultural crops that have a relatively high selling value is watermelon, so it is widely cultivated by the community. One of the obstacles in watermelon cultivation is the decreasing level of soil fertility and the supply of organic matter in the soil (N, P and K). Nutrients N, P, and K are essential nutrients for plants and at the same time become limiting factors for plant growth. Gibberellins as a growth hormone in plants are very influential on genetic traits (genetic dwarfism), flowering, irradiation, parthenocarpy, mobilization of carbohydrates during germination and other physiological aspects. The method in this study was a factorial randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer: 20 g (N1), 30 g (N2) and 40 g (N3). The second factor is the concentration of gibberellins, namely: 0 ppm (G0), 100 ppm (G1), 200 ppm (G2), and 300 ppm (G3). The results showed that the NPK single treatment had a significant effect on the observed parameters of tendril length, fruit weight and fruit color. The single result of gibberellin hormone treatment did not show any significant difference to all observational parameters. The best treatment was found in N3 (40 g/plant) on the parameters of tendril length, fruit number and fruit weight, while the best treatment combination was N3G2 (40 g/plant and 200 ppm gibberellins) on fruit weight parameters.Key words: Gibberellin, NPK, Watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris Schard.)ABSTRAK Semangka (Citrullus vulgaris Schard.) merupakan tanaman buah yang tumbuh merambat. Salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai jual relatif tinggi adalah tanaman semangka, sehingga dibudidayakan secara luas oleh masyarakat. Salah satu kendala dalam usaha budidaya semangka adalah menurunnya tingkat kesuburan tanah dan persediaan bahan organik yang ada dalam tanah. Hara N, P, dan K merupakan hara esensial bagi tanaman dan sekaligus menjadi faktor pembatas bagi pertumbuhan tanaman. Giberelin sebagai hormon tumbuh pada tanaman sangat berpengaruh pada sifat genetik (genetic dwarfism), pembungaan, penyinaran, partenokarpi, mobilisasi karbohidrat selama perkecambahan (germination) dan aspek fisiologi lainnya. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk NPK, yaitu: 20 g (N1), 30 g (N2) dan 40 g (N3) per tanaman. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi hormon giberelin, yaitu: 0 ppm (G0), 100 ppm (G1), 200 ppm (G2), dan 300 ppm (G3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tunggal NPK terdapat adanya pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan panjang sulur, bobot buah dan warna buah. Hasil tunggal perlakuan hormon giberelin tidak menunjukkan adanya beda nyata terhadap seluruh paramater pengamatan. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada N3 (40 g/ tanaman) pada parameter panjang sulur, jumlah buah dan bobot buah sedangkan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan N3G2 (40 g/ tanaman dan 200 ppm giberelin) pada parameter bobot buahKata kunci: Hormon Giberelin, Pupuk NPK, Semangka (Citrullus vulgaris Schard.).
Testing the macro nutrient value of chicken manure decomposed by Trichoderma viride. This study aims to determine the value of macro nutrients in chicken manure decomposed by Trichoderma viride. This research was carried out on the field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Graha Nusantara Padangsidimpuan University, from February to August 2018. The results showed that compost with the addition of decomposer Trichoderma viride which was good was 4 weeks (A4), namely organic B = 45.70%, organic C = 91.03, C / N ratio = 11, 13%, total N = 3.51%, total P = 3.41%, total K = 1.58% ABSTRAKPengujian nilai hara makro kotoran ayam yang di dekomposisi Trichoderma viride. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai hara makro kotoran ayam yang didekomposisi Trichoderma viride. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Graha Nusantara Padangsidimpuan, mulai Februari sampai bulan Agustus 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompos dengan penambahan dekomposer Trichoderma viride yang baik adalah dengan penyiumpanan 4 minggu (A4) yaitu B organik = 45,70 % , C organik= 91,03 , Rasio C/N= 11, 13 %, N Total= 3,51 %, P Total= 3,41 % , K Total= 1,58 %.

This study aims to determine the combination of types of organic matter in suppressing the intensity of damage to banana weevil on Fusarium oxysporum Schl. f. sp. cubense (Foc). This research was carried out on the grounds of the Faculty of Agriculture, Graha Nusantara University, Padangsidimpuan, from February to August 2019. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment is a combination of various organic ingredients as follows: (a) Chicken manure and straw are decomposed by T. viride, (b) Cow manure and straw are decomposed by T. viride, (c) Chicken manure and cow manure are decomposed by T. viride, (d) Cow manure, chicken manure and straw decomposed by T. viride, (e) Control. The results showed the lowest intensity of weevil damage was in the SAJ treatment (using organic matter cow dung, chicken manure and straw) of 0.42%. Perlakuan adalah kombinasi berbagai bahan organik sebagai berikut : (a) Kotoran ayam dan jerami didekomposisi oleh T. viride, (b) Kotoran sapi dan jerami didekomposisi oleh T. viride, (c) Kotoran ayam dan kotoran sapi didekomposisi oleh T. viride, (d) Kotoran sapi, kotoran ayam dan jerami didekomposisi oleh T. viride, (e) Kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan intensitas kerusakan bonggol terendah yaitu pada perlakuan SAJ (menggunakan bahan organic kotoran sapi, kotoran ayam dan jerami) sebesar 0,42 %.
