Abstrak: Batik merupakan salah satu warisan budaya, memiliki nilai kehidupan dan makna filosofis yang harus dipelajari serta dilestarikan. Berbagai macam teknik batik diantaranya batik cap, batik tulis dan batik jumputan. Batik jumpatan di Jepang lebih dikenal dengan istilah batik shibori. Shibori adalah teknik pewarnaan kain dengan menciptakan motif dari lipatan yang sudah ada sejak abad ke-8. Proses pembuatan batik shibori lebih cepat daripada batik lainnya dan tidak memerlukan bahan yang sulit. Motif batik yang menarik dan memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi. Adanya pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan masyarakat membatasi kontak fisik secara langsung. Hal ini mengakibatkan kreativitas masyarakat kurang terasah. Pelatihan merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas masyarakat. Metode penelitian pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei, dokumentasi dan observasi. Peserta pelatihan adalah ibu-ibu PKK Dusun Lengkong, Desa Kedunglengkong. Analisis data dikumpulkan berdasarkan kelompok tertentu. Pelatihan pembuatan batik shibori terdiri dari dua tahapan yaitu 1) pemberian informasi umum; dan 2) kegiatan teori dan praktik. Respon masyarakat menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik. Setelah pelatihan, muncul pengetahuan dan wawasan baru bagi masyarakat serta kreativitas masyarakat juga meningkat, dibuktikan melalui terbentuknya berbagai macam motif batik. Abstract: Batik is one of the cultural heritages, has a life value and a philosophical meaning that must be studied and preserved. Various kinds of batik techniques include printed batik, written batik and “jumputan” batik. “Jumpatan” batik in Japan is better known as shibori batik. Shibori is a technique of dyeing fabrics by creating motifs from folds that date back to the 8th century. The process of making shibori batik is faster than other batik and does not require difficult materials. Attractive batik motifs and high selling value. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in people limiting direct physical contact. This resulted in less honed community creativity. Training is one way that can be used to increase people's creativity. This community service research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out through surveys, documentation and observation. The training participants are PKK Dusun Lengkong members, Kedunglengkong Village. Data analysis was collected based on certain groups. Shibori batik making training consists of two stages, namely 1) providing general information; and 2) theoretical and practical activities. The community response showed very good results. After the training, the emergence of new knowledge and insights for the community and community creativity also increased, as evidenced by the formation of various kinds of batik motifs.
The competence of reading the holy book correctly and adequately is the obligation of every religious person. Ironically, many Muslim students do not have adequate skills in reading the Qur'an. Therefore, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) launched a campaign to be free of Qur'an illiteracy for its students. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and effectiveness of Qur'an learning at UM and the correlation of Arabic language skills to the ability to read the al-Qur'an. The method used is a mixed-method with an exploratory sequential design. The quantitative data analysis technique used normality test, Wilcoxon signed ranks, d-effect size, and calculation of N-gain value. The results of the study are as follows: (1) learning planning is carried out in a centralized and detailed manner; (2) the implementation of learning adapts to class groupings, and learning steps specified in the Qur'an Reading Guidance curriculum; (3) evaluation of learning is carried out using tashih techniques, post-test, and assessment of learning attitudes; (4) learning effectiveness is in the high category, which is indicated by the d-effect size value of 0.76, and (5) Arabic language ability is found to have a significant correlation with the ability to read the Qur'an. In general, UM is considered successful in reducing the level of Qur'an illiteracy among students.
