Kasus kriminalitas yang dilakukan oleh anak semakin marak dan meningkat setiap tahunnya, hal ini menunjukan krisis moral pada anak-anak Indonesia. Sekolah mempunya peran yang besar dalam hal tersebut, tidak hanya memfokuskan pada pencapaian akademik melainkan pada pengembangan spiritual dan emosional, hal ini menunjukan bahwa Pendidikan Karakter pada tiap sekolah itu penting. SD Taruna Bakti sudah menerapkan pendidikan karakter sejak pertama kali dibangun dan programnya dikembangkan kembali sejak 2012. Beberapa guru menyatakan bahwa pendidikan karakter di sekolah ini sudah baik namun masih ada guru yang menyatakan bahwa masih terdapat program yang belum terlaksana dengan optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menggambarkan penerapan pendidikan karakter di SD Taruna Bakti Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam kecerdasan emosional adalah dengan menggunakan Twelve Component Assesment and Planning (TCAP) yang dirumuskan oleh Thomas Lickona. Subjek penelitan berjumlah 24 orang. Metoda yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukan sebanyak 24 staf pengajar (100%) menyatakan bahwa pendidikan karakter di SD Taruna Bakti efektif.Kata Kunci : Pendidikan karakter, SD Taruna Bakti
SOS Children's Village is a non-profit nongovernmental social organization actively supporting children's rights, namely a loving family and home. Foster parents in SOS Children's Village felt "overwhelmed" overcoming bad behaviour of foster children. This parenting problem continues from year to year. They need to get help and intervention from the realm of psychology in educating and shaping the positive character of foster children. In this work the foster parents will be given training and knowledge about growth and development of infants, children, puberty and adolescents, so they will be able to find ways to manage children's emotional, discipline, and learning motivation in relation between good behaviour and positive character. The training method features films, discussions, and role play. The result showed effective, where foster parents have increased their knowledge about growth and development of infants, children, puberty and adolescents. Their knowledge makes children capable of managing emotions according to their developmental stages, being disciplined and having the motivation to learn.
This studi aims to examine the effect of organizational commitment on employees' well-being. This causality research involvig 721 respondents recruited using simple random sampling. Organizational commitment was measured using Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) based on the concept from Meyer and Allen, while well-being was measured using instrument developed by Butler and Kern. The results show that affective and normative organizational commitment did not affected well-being, while continuance organizational commitment has a significant effect on well-being. Employees with affective-based organizational commitment show different behavior compared to continuance- and normative-based. This commitment made the employees choose to continue the job by considering how comfortable they work, which is related to their well-being.
