This research was done on 100 farmers on corn farming location in dry land and 100 farmers on corn in wet land in Sumbawa regency. It used Cobb-Douglas, t test and Stochastic Frontier version 4.1. The results indicate that productivity of corn farming in dry wet land is greater than that in dry land. Results of data estimation using FRONTIER 4.1c indicate that average technical efficiency on dry land and wet land are 0.86 and 0.85. Scores of frontier production gamma in dry land and wet land are 0.697 and 0.522. It indicates that 70% technicalefficiency in dry land is due to managerial capability of farmer and the remaining is influenced by natural factor or weather. Meanwhile in wet area, 55% is caused by farmer capability in management and the remaining is natural factor.
The aim of Samawa University, one of which is to provide organic compost training and practice of manufacturing organic fertilizer in the village of Jurumapin, Buer district West Nusa Tenggara. Compost is an organic fertilizer derived from the remains of plants and animal droppings that have been through a decomposition or weathering process. Compost fertilizer is the main ingredient in cow dung. The advantage of this post is green, which may supplement the farmers' income and can increase soil fertility by repairing soil physically damaged by overuse of inorganic fertilizer. The village of Jurumapin was mainly farmers and ranchers. The waste produced by the people's domesticated animals has not been fully processed for fertilizer. Prolonged use of chemical fertilizers can cause physical damage to the soil, as well as the cost of purchasing fertilizer is prohibitive. The implementation of this MTC programme will be by educating them on how organic compost with basic cow dung. The development of organic fertilizer has been carried out with participants who are members of the caduna youth of the mosque of the Jurumapin village. It is hoped that organic compost products could be applied to plants to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer
Pengembangan wilayah dengan pendekatan OVOP dapat memotivasi pembangunan pedesaan melalui gerakan masyarakat, dengan memanfaatkan potensi keunggulan lokal sebagai penggerak utama, dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal dengan tujuan mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendiskripsikan performa desa yang diusulkan sebagai penerapan OVOP di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Labangka, Desa Batu Dulang, Desa Pelat, Desa Jotang, Desa Labuhan Jambu, Desa Luar, Desa Juru Mapin, Desa Moyo dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi (field Obsevation), survei (Field Survey), wawancara (Interview Method), dan kuisioner. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian desa yang layak sebagai target untuk penerapan OVOP di Kabupaten Sumbawa adalah Serading (Padi), Labangka (Jagung), Kukin (Sapi), Labuhan Sengoro (Rumput laut), Tepal (Kopi). Strategi pengembangan yaitu meningkatkan kualitas produk, mengembangkan daya saing produk hasil seleksi menggunakan kearifan lokal dan keterampilan secara terarah dan terintegrasi untuk pasar domestik dan global dengan promosi, adanya komitmen pemerintah lokal untuk pembinaan, dan penguatan kelembagaan.
The chain of regional development in the context of development in rural areas is start by using a database that includes data approach one village one product (OVOP). The purpose of this research is to analyse the value chain top products based (OVOP) village. in this study have identify the value chain, by tracing the product flow from upstream to downstream, which was carried out in 2018. The results showed that fresh produce produced obtained from the cultivation and the extraction of the sea, then the process done after the harvest with simple technology. The marketing area covers Sumbawa regency to overseas, as well as processed products originating from surrounding communities that are processed in a simple process to produce products which can fulfil the needs of Sumbawa Island and several regions in Indonesia.
