Curent situation of raw material base and study of limestone like construction stone deposits in the Republic of Serbian were relatively poorly considered during the last decades, and the main problems are the following: low production capacity, fragmentation of production, needs for raw materials homogenization and delivering of standard quality, undeveloped market, the recession of the domestic economy and the economies in the region, the relatively low level of exploration by many deposits, especially lack of knowledge of the occurrence legality for certain types and quality of raw materials and lack of complete quality indicators for raw material, which sometimes causes the utilization of only the highest quality deposit parts .This paper provides an overview of active quarries in the Republic Srpska with exploitation of limestone like technical building stone and present an attempt to determine the basic quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the raw material and the current working conditions at these quarries. The purpose of such a review would be in an effort to create a clearer picture about production, market, social and other aspects of the limestone exploitation in the Republika Srpska and the realistic possibilities of maintaining and developing of these mineral resources utilization, which can certainly be interesting for the development of many other industries in the Republic Srpska.
Getting coal using mechanized longwall on the principle of horizontal concentration in a single procedure, it can be successfully applied in mining coal seams very small thickness. For high calorific coal thickness of coal seam that can be successfully excavate this method is approximately 1.0m other coals to 5.0 m.Result of extensive laboratory research presented in this study are related to the possibility of mechanized exploitation (mining application longwall) coal seams in the mine "Lubnica".
The behaviour of sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate in the course of repeated use as a heat-storing medium can be predicted, cycle by cycle, on the basis of a generalised phase-transition equation adapted for incongruently melting material. An indice is derived for this purpose and named 'coefficient of true phase-transition reversibility'. Its predictive value is shown for three additional incongruently melting materials well known as heat-storing media: CaClz.6Hz0, NazS04.1 OH20 and the mixture NazS04.10H20 + 2/3NH4CI + 2/3NaCI.

The paper defines choice of the optimal excavation method for ore deposits, which are characterized by general irregularity due to their origin, occurrence and different content of the usable minerals. In such complex conditions, the choice of the excavation method is defined according to: the natural characteristics of the deposit and according to the techno - economic parameters of the comparison methods and the methods of multi-criteria optimization.

In this article are presented the analysis of ore losses in bauxite underground exploitation as well as the manner and possibility to increase recovery factor of ore deposit and exploitation with minimum of diluted ore with overburden. The largest losses of ore are the caracteristics of the mining process itself and the results of model studies of the ore losses and recovery for the various parameters of subleveltransverse caving method are given in the article.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
