Experimental
data on densities, viscosities, and refractive indices
of binary mixtures with 2-butanol and polyethylene glycols of different
molecular weights, tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether, or N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, were determined in the temperature
interval from 288.15 K to 323.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. Excess
molar volumes, viscosity deviations, and deviations in refractive
indices were computed from these data and correlated with the Redlich–Kister
polynomial equation. The obtained results allowed the interpretation
of specific inter- and intramolecular interactions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
