This article is devoted to the emerging trends in the Russian criminal law, scientific research and judicial practice in the appointment and execution of punishments under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The article highlights modern scientific views on the content of the category of execution of these types of punishments. The conclusion is made about the humanization of criminal policy.
