In this study, the methods for combining statistical energy analysis (SEA) and the finite element method (FEM) for the vibration analysis of structures are studied. Using the two methods simultaneously isnt entirely extend a primarily low frequency method, the finite element method, and high frequency method, SEA, to the mid frequency region are addressed. This approach is intended to extend the frequency range for a FEM based vibration analysis . A new finite element elementl for elevated slab ballastless track is proposed in which the new model can be used for modeling the track structural constituents of elevated slab ballastless track. Using finite element method and Hamilton theory, the coupled equation of vehicle-track-bridge can be established. In calculating example, both the rail displacement induced by single four-layer beam model. Specifically, it showed that the method yields very good result and high performance in the numerical example of previous research.
3D FEM models of ladder track and rail-bearing platform track on metro viaduct were established to analyze the vibration reduction characteristics of ladder track structure. Based on track irregularities measured by track inspection car, time-history vertical accelerations of rail, sleeper, flange and beam bottom were solved to contrast the dynamic characteristics of the two track structure. Results show that the vibration level of rail and sleeper are higher on ladder track than on rail-bearing platform track, and the vibration reducing effect of ladder track for flange and beam bottom mainly embodies in frequency range of 1~40Hz in which average vibration reduction values on flange and beam bottom are 28dB and 22dB, with maximum values 40dB and 33dB. The results can provide reference for design of ladder track as well as its application in metro line.
A hybrid method combining FE and SEA was recently presented for predicting the steady-state response of vibro-acoustic systems. The new method is presented for the analysis of complex dynamic systems which is based on partitioning the system degrees of freedom into a ‘‘global’’ set and a ‘‘local’’ set. The global equations of motion are formulated and solved by using the finite element method (FEM).The local equations of motion are formulated and solved by using statistical energy analysis (SEA). The power input from the global degrees of freedom. This paper deduces the theory for the beam element , and Train-Ballastless Track-Bridge System provides an application, and it showed that the method yields very good results .
Wheel-rail contact stress is foundation of the relationship between wheel and rail, and also an important basis for investigating further wear, surface damage and other problems of wheel and rail system. A three dimension elastic-plastic wheel/rail contact model is established using non-linear finite element method. The changes of wheel/rail normal contact stress, Mises stress and elastic-plastic deformations are analyzed under different conditions in heavy haul railway. A method is provided for a foundation of the future study of wheel-rail contact wear, fatigue and cracks germination and development in this paper.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
