Peatlands have great potential if they are used as agricultural lands. However, more attention is necessary for the management of water, soil pH, and the provision of nutrients. This research was conducted to determine the growth and P uptake of soybean plants on peatland as affected by fertilizer treatment and mycorrhizae application in soybean plants. The study was conducted in the peatland of Pelalawan Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau using soybean plants cultivar Anjasmoro. The research was arranged in a complete randomized complete block design consisting of two factors. The first factor was fertilizer treated, comprising N1 (no fertilizer), N2 (150 kg ha−1 compound NPK fertilizer), and N3 (300 kg ha−1 compound NPK fertilizer). Meanwhile, the second factor was application of mycorrhizae comprising M1 (without mycorrhizae) and M2 (with mycorrhizae). Each treatment combination consisted of three replications. The data were analyzed with analysis of variance at a 5% confidence level and tested using DMRT test. The results showed that combination of mycorrhizae and NPK 300 kg ha−1 gave the best effect from other treatement on the growth, P uptake of soybean and the soil chemist.
Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan pada keadaan pariwisata di Pulau Karampuang dan pengembangan yang telah dilakukan. Isu kelestarian alam mendorong penulis untuk mengkaji tentang pengembangan produk wisata Karampuang dengan berpedoman pada prinsip-prinsip ekowisata bahari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sejauh manakah prinsip ekowisata bahari diterapkan dalam usaha maupun program pengembangan produk wisata Karampuang yang meliputi aksesibilitas, atraksi wisata, dan fasilitas wisata. Selanjutnya, diharapkan aspek-aspek pengembangan yang belum menerapkan prinsip ekowisata bahari dapat menjadi fokus perhatian untuk program pengembangannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsitf kualitatif yang berusaha untuk memaparkan keadaan pariwisata di Karampuang secara apa adanya. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan studi dokumen terkait. Data dianalisis dengan secara langsung dengan tahapan a) reduction, b) serving, dan c) verification. Setelah melalui tahapan tersebut, data kemudian diinterpretasikan untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan akhir. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa secara garis besar, usaha dan program pengembangan prouk wisata Karampuang telah menggunakan prinsip ekowisata bahari sebagai acuannya demi menjaga kelestarian alam yang pada akhirnya akan mewujudkan sustainable tourism. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa aspek yang masih dapat ditingkatkan dalam hal penerapan prinsip ekowisata bahari dalam pengembangan atau pengelolaan wisata di Pulau Karampuang. Sementara itu, penelitian ini memiliki implikasi praktis untuk pengelola wisata Karampuang sebagai dasar untuk pengembangan produk wisata dengan berpedoman pada prinsip ekowisata bahari demi terwujudnya sustainable tourism di masa depan. AbstractThis research was conducted based on the state of tourism in Karampuang Island and the developments that have been carried out. The issue of nature preservation encourages the author to study the development of Karampuang tourism products based on the principles of marine ecotourism. The purpose of this study is to identify the extent to which the principles of marine ecotourism are applied in the business and development program of Karampuang tourism products which include accessibility, tourist attractions and tourist facilities. Furthermore, it is hoped that development aspects that have not applied the principles of marine ecotourism can become the focus of attention for their development programs. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that seeks to describe the state of tourism in Karampuang as it is. Data were collected by participatory observation, interviews, literature study, and related document studies. Data were analyzed directly with the stages a) reduction, b) serving, and c) verification. After going through these stages, the data is then interpreted to get a final conclusion. The results of this study indicate that broadly speaking, the Karampuang tourism product development program and business have used the principle of marine ecotourism as a reference in order to preserve nature which will ultimately create sustainable tourism. However, there are several aspects that can be improved in terms of the application of the principles of marine ecotourism in the development or management of tourism in Karampuang Island. Meanwhile, this research has practical implications for Karampuang tourism managers as a basis for developing tourism products based on the principles of marine ecotourism for the realization of sustainable tourism in the future.
