This qualitative research intended to acknowledge the application of “green office concept” at Housekeeping Department of Ministry of Health of Indonesia. The researcher captured the data from the research field factually. Data gathered from the responsible staffs purposively, data collection methods used were moderate participant observation, indepth interview, and document analysis. The data validated by technique triangulation and resource triangulation. The qualitative research resultshowed that (1) the staffs have moderate commitment for “green office”behavior. As showed by the paper saving, electricity saving, water saving, waste management, greening, cleanliness, and room’s air conditioning; (2) Eco – friendly office technology applied by using information technology system as electronic mail, electronic filling system and web based communication group.(3) The office physical building design suitable for naturally lighting design with lights’ placement grouping system, and also considers building green coefficient.(4) Vehicle cleaning and watering trees with condensed water were prohibited.(5) Office materials selected to minimize the use of papers and tissues. (6) Air conservation system applied by using centralized Air Conditioning System with average degree 24 – 25 celcius. (7) Airhumidity about 55% with no smoking rule. (8) Electric saving lights used by grouping system and also there was motion sensor lights at the bathroom; (9) flush the plant with Air Conditioning condensed water.
Today, the increasing use of technology and mobile applications in education was interesting. This research was a systematic review study with limited 30 articles from 2012 to 2021. It aims to answer research questions about what mobile devices used in learning and what learning approaches are used in science learning to improve higher-order thinking skill and communication skills. The findings of this study were in line with the research objectives: First, the most appropriate mobile devices used to achieve learning objectives are mobile phones, followed by PDAs, tablets, iPad, laptops, e-books, and iPods. Second, the learning approach used in science learning to improve higher-order thinking skills and communication skills are a collaborative learning approach, inquiry learning, projectbased learning, problem-based learning, game-based learning, and flipped classroom learning. It was hoped that this research can be an illustration for other researchers to create innovative learning approaches. Some research that can be done next based on this research is how mobile learning in social learning or comparing the two, further research on the most appropriate learning media for mobile learning, and research on the effectiveness of implementing approach strategies in mobile learning.
The teacher-made chemistry test must have a good quality, due to the decision taken from the tests has an impact on the students. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to explore the quality of teacher-made chemistry tests such as item fit and person fit, items difficulty, and test reliability. The sample consisted of 356 senior students from senior high schools in Yogyakarta that were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The research used the teacher-made chemistry test consisted of 40 multiple choice items which were collected using documentation technique. Data were analyzed with Rasch Model using Winsteps 3.73 version. The result showed that all items in the teacher-made chemical test were proven to have good quality (fit model, good item difficulty, and good test reliability). Moreover, 18 students were identified as misfit persons. From the findings, the test can be used to assess the students’ learning outcomes, especially for the try-out of the final exam in senior high school. Besides, the students identified as person misfit should be further examined and receive teachers’ guidance.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
