The Linked Employer-Employee Data (LIAB) of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) have proven to be a rich and valuable research for empirical research in economics, the social sciences, and statistics. Over the years, the LIAB data have been revised and several data models have been released. This article provides an overview of the currently available versions of the LIAB data and tries to delimitate them from older versions.
