Educators believe that learning to utilize technology has opportunities to promote improvement in student learning performance. This optimism is undoubtedly expected to be implemented by students not only in cities but also in rural areas. The setting of this research was at the school in a rural area in Bima, Indonesia. This study explored the impact of blended learning by using the STEM education approach on improving students' critical thinking for physics subject in secondary schools. This research was quantitative research with pretest-posttest control group design. The experimental group was taught with blended learning that used the STEM education approach. The control group was prepared with conventional activities. Covariate in this study was prior knowledge. The dependent variable was critical thinking skills measured using an essay test. The statistical analysis used was ANCOVA which the error margin was 0.05. The research found that blended learning with STEM education approach improved better critical thinking of students than conventional learning. The limitation of this study is that during online learning, students with less digital literacy still need assistance from teachers at the beginning of learning. The contribution in this study lies in a unique framework that is in the process of delivering knowledge using blended learning embedded the STEM education approach for high school physics lessons in the rural area.
Education systemin this era, focused on 21st century. Learning of the 21st century is a system to the renewal of a movements education especially in the field of science and math . One of renewal is known with the STEM term. Competence of the 21st century is one of a concrete manifestation in terms of support learning the curriculum applied at present. One of the object of which is seen critical skill against. subjects found in the level of education, but in reality in the field is critical thinking skill being one an obstacle to human resources in indonesia. Referring to the teaching and learning process in the classroom, sometimes material that was delivered can not received optimally by students due to limited time face to face. The population of this research is SMAN 3 Sumbawa Besar at West Nusa Tenggara. The research sample as much as 54 students class XI random sampling technique. The collection of data used an essay of critical skill with a value of post test as quantitative data. The research results show that class of blended learning approach that uses STEM education shows that can improve critical skill of student.
In the 21st century, emphasizing renewal learning systems using information and communication technology (ICT). One uses a learning management system (LMS). This study aims to determine the effectiveness in implementing the learning Management System (LMS) aided by Edmodo to improve student learning outcomes on dynamic fluid material. This research was conducted at one of the Gamping 1 High Schools with a quasi-experimental research design. As a sample in this study were 11th grade X students, selected by random sampling. The research data collection instrument used to pretest and posttest and the results of the study were tested by N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students increased in the high category with very good student responses. This means Edmodo-assisted Learning Management System (LMS) is very effective to improve student learning outcomes on dynamic fluid material.
Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran secara daring mempermudah mahasiswa dalam proses belajar dan sangat membantu mereka dalam menghindari pencemaran COVID-19.Abstract: Virtual learning is a teaching and learning process using virtual media assisted by a Web-based platform as a tool in the teaching and learning process. This quantitative descriptive study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of virtual online learning for prospective teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted on prospective teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Samawa University. The research respondents were 51 prospective teachers selected using the purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire containing questions and statements totaling 13 items with one comment column provided at the end. The questionnaires discuss the online virtual learning process, from infrastructure readiness to prospects for this learning. The study results showed that from the four aspects measured; teacher candidates had a view of the learning process being categorized as high except for the practical element. It can be concluded that online learning makes it easier for students in the learning process and helps them avoid contamination with COVID-19.Â
