Penulis kitab Yeremia meletakkan dua kata yang berbeda, ‘membangun’ (banah) dan ‘menanam’ (nata') ke dalam satu horison yang sama, sebagai langkah utama dalam merevitalisasi kehidupan Israel yang sedang mengalami kehancuran masif. Kehancuran yang tidak hanya secara fisik berupa bangunan rumah dan kota, tetapi juga kehancuran kehidupan itu sendiri, seperti matinya ekonomi secara total. Melalui metode pendekatan penafsiran historis kritis, dengan menganalisis teks dan konteks sejarah dari teks diperoleh gambaran bahwa metafora ‘membangun’ dan ‘menanam’ dalam teks mengandung gagasan holistik, bukan pembangunan sebatas fisik. Pembangunan yang sifatnya mendasar (substansial) bukan sebatas kulit dan permukaan (superficial), serta melalui pendekatan teologi kontekstual dua kata dalam narasi pemanggilan Yeremia tersebut berimplikasi konstruktif terhadap penguatan fungsi keluarga Kristen sebagai basis pengajaran pendidikan agama Kristen yang strategis, layaknya hubungan ‘kandungan’ dan ‘kerahiman’ yang ‘sedarah’ dan ‘searah’ yang tampak melalui teks. Nearly all people of the church is exposed to pandemic covid-1, instead they are not exposed to sars virus covid-19, they are exposed to predisposition, frailty, and any other social impacts. Indicators of ABC, Attendance (crowded by visitors), Building and Cash flow currently deemed as measurement of successful church service abruptly changed amid covid-19. In fact, church visitors drastically decreased, church building would be vacant and cash flow particularly income definitely declines. If in history the world was suffered from pandemic for several times, it suggested that a pandemic may happens in such a prolonged time, then church is unlikely to dwell on this condition, church is unlikely to be underdeveloped with the same pattern. This study offered the possibility to church to switch to solidarity services, the mission transfers to the deepest part of the church. There is a challenge for the church to transform into more humanity, pursue solidarity, try to be more gracious, be concerned about other. Identification of solidarity and brotherhood becomes indicators of missional Church. The mission shifted into any different form of loving service, particularly for those who are the most vulnerable.
Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami Yohanes 14: 1-14 dengan menggunakan metode eksegetis sosial-saintifik. Penelitian mengutamakan tinjauan historis dan eksegese terhadap karya penulisan-penulisan sejarah mengenai Jalan dan Kebenaran dan Hidup sejak zaman Perjanjian Lama (PL) hingga zaman Perjanjian Baru (PB). Yesus sebagai jalan, kebenaran, dan hidup dalam rangka menghadapi relativisme postmodern zaman ini. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa “Yesus adalah hidup (kekal)“, dan “Yesus adalah kebenaran” di mana gereja dan umat Yesus (Gereja) mampu berdialog dan menerapkan kebenaran relatif di dalam kasih, keadilan dan pembebasan sosial.
This is an ethnography study which aimed to find out the real condition of poverty in Indonesia. Preliminary study showed that there are massive social impacts in the new normal due to COVID-19. There are three kinds of poverty that can be seen in real terms namely extreme poverty, absolute poverty, and relative poverty. Moreover, when viewed from the biblical approach, there are two words used that helped us in our research on poverty, namely "race” = “poor people" and "dal” which is more translated as “weaker” than “poor”. The Bible does not state a single view on poverty but mentioned some Bible passages. The first is idleness poverty. This poverty is caused by laziness or negligence over personal responsibility to look for means to meet needs. The Bible uses ants as an opposite example of laziness in the book of Proverbs 6:6. The second is theodise poverty. This poverty is illustrated by Job who was stripped off of his riches, yet he was able to accept and embrace whatever the Lord gave to him.
