Two categories of GPS timing receivers have been identified for real time applications. Performances of a few such receivers have been studied. The GPS time in some of the receivers has been found to have some bias error. This demands the necessity of the calibration of the GPS receiver prior to its precise application. It has been observed that the time error (or phase error) normally remains constant for a particular receiver. So this may not affect the frequency accuracy.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
