One of the reflections of technology to education is the flipped classroom model. In The Flipped Classroom model, the lecture process on a subject is delivered at home, while the application process that is related to the subject is in the class. The purpose of this study is to examine the trends in recent years via bibliometric results of articles on the use of flipped classrooms in education. For this aim, we investigated a total of 2955 publications on the flipped classroom obtained from the Web of Science database. Then, a bibliometric analysis of the publications was carried out in this study of qualitative research method. The publications have been examined in terms of some bibliometric variables and are presented descriptively. We performed a content analysis using tables and the VOSviewer program. According to the results, the most commonly used keywords in the research are the “flipped classroom learning” and “active learning”, and the publication language is generally English. The most common types of documents are papers and articles. Valencia Polytechnic University is the most contributing institution in its field of study. The most active countries in terms of the number of studies are the USA and China.
The aim of the study is to reveal the opinions of the classroom teachers regarding teacher-parent cooperation. For this purpose, a case study was used in the study and a study was carried out with twelve (12) teachers in a primary school affiliated to the Ministry of Education in Gebze district of Kocaeli province. The data were collected by a researcher based on expert opinion and collected through a semi-structured interview form consisting of four open-ended questions. Descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the data. The data are grouped according to certain categories, placed in the themes and sub-themes created. As a result of the study, it was observed that teachers frequently use teacher-parent cooperation and teachers achieve this cooperation through parent meetings, whatsapp groups, one-to-one interviews. The teachers stated that as a positive result of teacher-parent cooperation, they positively affect the atmosphere of the classroom and this situation also increases student success. As a negative result of teacher-parent cooperation, it was stated that parents could not maintain the distance between the teacher and used sincere style against the teacher. As a result, the teachers stated that they had difficulty in establishing authority in the classroom and that they were not efficient in the classroom. Özet Çalışmanın amacı öğretmen-veli işbirliğine ilişkin sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla çalışmada durum çalışması kullanılmış ve Kocaeli ili Gebze ilçesi MEB’e bağlı bir ilkokuldaki on iki (12) öğretmenle çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler uzman görüşü alınarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış ve dört(4) açık uçlu sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış bir görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veriler belli kategorilere göre gruplanmış, oluşturulan temalar ve alt temalara yerleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda öğretmenlerin öğretmen-veli işbirliğini sıklıkla kullandıkları ve öğretmenlerin bu işbirliğini veli toplantıları, whatsapp grupları, birebir görüşme ile sağladıkları görülmüştür. Öğretmenler öğretmen-veli işbirliğinin olumlu sonuçları olarak sınıfın atmosferini olumlu yönde etkilediğini ve bu durumun da öğrenci başarısını artırdığını belirtmişlerdir,. Öğretmen-veli işbirliğinin olumsuz sonuçları olarak ise velilerin öğretmenle aralarındaki mesafeyi koruyamadıkları ve öğretmene karşı samimi üslup kullandıkları yer almıştır. Bunun sonucunda da öğretmenler sınıfta otorite kurmakta zorlandıklarını ve sınıfta verimli olamadıklarını dile getirmişlerdir. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara uygun olarak ileride yürütülebilecek çalışmalar ve uygulayıcılar için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
This article aims to establish a fundamental approach to how pre-graduate medical education will be conducted at University of Health Sciences (UHS) in IstanbulTurkey, which covers all areas with a macro organizational structure together with 56 Education and Research Hospitals under Ministry of Health affiliated to UHS School of Medicine and to review current trends in medical education. UHS School of Medicine aims to enhance the quality of medical education and offer education at high standards through international cooperation. UHS School of Medicine has the vision of becoming a 'model' school of medicine with a pre-graduate education system based on program output in medical education and public health, which will be realized in health research and application centers that deliver healthcare. The students of UHS School of Medicine to receive their education including professional skill practices and clinical internships both during pre-clinic and clinic periods at affiliated hospitals is suitable for the fundamental properties of public-based medical education and offers rich educational opportunities for the students. With this macro organization, meeting both national and international standards at a certain level will increase occupational quality and enable our students to become "universal doctors."
