<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The aim of this research is to describe a phenomenon of body shaming as a prediction factors of young women who are suffering from body dysmorphic disorder. This research employed qualitative method and case study approach on young women suffering from body shaming and triggering the risk of body dysmorphic disorder. The respondents of this research were 3 young women suffering from body shaming in malang Indonesia. The data were collected through interview and observation. The data were analyzed by using reduction analysis by Miles and Hubberman. The result of this research showed that the three respondents suffering from body dysmorphic disorder were caused by the existence of body shaming do that it gave big contribution towards the emergence of body dysmorphic disorder and, furthermore, the dominant factor of young women body dysmorphic disorder was due to the mokcery or humiliation in regards to their body shape or body shaming.</p>
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between self confidence with adversity quotient of post-drop out students at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. The hypothesis is that there is a relationship between self confidence and adversity quotient in post-drop out students at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. The research method is a quantitative approach. The number of participants was 130 people with a purposive sampling technique. The scale used is a scale of self confidence and adversity quotient. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank and analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. The results show the correlation is 0.844 (significance level 0.000 0.05) which means the level of relationship between variables is very strong. It illustrates that there is a positive relationship between self confidence and adversity quotient in post-drop out students at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menguji hubungan self confidence dengan adversity quotient mahasiswa pasca drop out di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Adapun hipotesisnya adalah ada hubungan antara self confidence dengan adversity quotient pada mahasiswa pasca drop out di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Metode penelitiannya adalah dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah partisipannya sejumlah 130 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala self confidence dan adversity quotient. Analisis data memakai Spearman Rank serta dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS 23.0. Hasil menunjukkan korelasinya adalah sebesar 0,844 (taraf signifikansi 0.000 0,05) yang artinya tingkat hubungan antar variabel adalah sangat kuat. Hal itu menggambarkan ada hubungan positif antara self confidence dengan adversity quotient pada mahasiswa pasca drop out di Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Dengan kata lain, hipotesis diterima.
Jurusan Psikologi, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran perfeksionisme terhadap strategi coping pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 110 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir FISIP Universitas Brawijaya dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dimensi self oriented perfectionism dan socially prescribed perfectionism dengan problem focused coping, namun tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan emotional focused coping. Selain itu, dimensi other oriented perfectionism tidak berhubungan signifikan baik dengan problem focused coping maupun emotional focused coping. Berdasarkan hasil analisis chi square, hanya dimensi self oriented perfectionism yang berperan dalam memprediksi problem focused coping pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir.
