The study is conducted to examine the main effects of personality of faculty members of technical educational institutes of India on their turnover intentions. Five antecedents of personality were identified using Personality Big-Five Factors ( Goldberg, 1981 ). 13-item instrument was generated using Turnover Intention Scale and Ten-Item Personality Inventory (TIPI). Questionnaire was designed and administered online to collect data from sample of 261 faculty members using non-probabilistic convenience sampling method. Principal component analysis with varimax rotation was used to determine construct validity and Cronbach’s coefficient alpha to determine the scale internal consistency. Regression analysis was used to determine the causal relationship between the antecedents of personality and turnover intention. The results revealed that both extraversion and agreeableness has inverse significant impact on turnover intention. The study suggest management should adopt appropriate strategies and enhance human resource practices that lead to positive personality traits which lead to increased retention of faculty members.
Traditional techniques of linear economy generate a lot of waste, which leads to unsustainable practices in the supply chain management. This chapter analyses the impact of circular economic system practices on company overall performance for a circular supply chain and explores the mediating position the technologically driven supply chain plays inside these relationships in the healthcare sector in reference to UAE. UAE and the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development Excellence in Implementation 2017 report suggests that UAE raises cognizance of, and integrates, sustainability standards into its agenda to promote sustainable lifestyles. Since most products in UAE are imported, the supply chain is lengthy and fragmented, making procurement expensive. Hence, an innovative technology-driven green supply chain can be an effective solution for both cost and waste reduction.

A dip in the customer conversion ratio has marred the profi tability of retailers, and therefore making customer conversion an imperative issue. Today, retailers are increasingly making use of various in-store infl uencers for converting browsers to spenders. However, success depends on how the customers perceive these infl uencers. This article empirically evaluates the perception of the customers towards various in-store stimuli that is, price, merchandise, promotion, displays and ambience, across stores located in a cross section of the retail market of Chattisgarh. The fi ndings of this article help in developing a strategy for improving conversions, therefore the profi tability of a retail outlet.
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) today is being adopted by business organizations worldwide with a view to maximize their capabilities. But more often than not the expected outcomes are not delivered due to inaccurate calculations with respect to the organization’s ability to adapt to the change. Although the benefits of enterprise information systems in streamlining the functions of the organization cannot be questioned, preparing the organization to adopt the new system needs more focused efforts. In order to ensure that the existing capabilities of the organizations are an enabler and not an inhibitor in the adoption process, they need to be learning organizations. A study was conducted in Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), one of the leading steel manufacturing public companies in India, where ERP is to be adopted. In spite of the fact that it has a strong backbone of resources in terms of information technology (IT) infrastructure, the implementation process is virtually on a standstill. In this chapter, an evaluation of the psychological capabilities of the organization is done. This can be evaluated through the mindset of the workforce and the willingness with which they are ready to adopt change.
