AC plasma display panel of high luminous efficacy and low power consumption was newly developed for energy regulation of TVs. New technologies for panel structure, discharge gas mixture, protective layer, material, process and driving were applied to a panel in order to increase luminous efficacy and reduce power consumption. Also, the reliability of the panel was improved by the reconstruction behavior and exaggerated grain growth (EGG) using the distribution of new functional layer and discharge control. The influences of design parameters on the luminous efficacy and reliability were investigated and discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
