Pencemaran lingkungan akibat sampah plastik semakin mengkhawatirkan apabila tidak ada usaha untuk mengatasinya. Masyarakat yang kurang pengetahuan dan berperilaku buruk dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik. Penelitian dilakukan di Dusun Kedesen, Desa Kradenan, Kecamatan Kaliwungu, Kabupaten Semarang Tahun 2012. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan studi cross sectional, dengan sampel berjumlah 74 orang yang diambil secara secara acak sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara terstruktur menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat dengan uji statistik Kai Kuadrat (X2). Penelitian menemukan sekitar 56,8% responden berpengetahuan tidak baik dan sekitar 60,8% responden berperilaku tidak baik. Analisis bivariat menunjukan hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik. Ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga dengan perilaku mengelola sampah plastik di Dusun Kedesen, Desa Kradenan, Kecamatan Kaliwungu, Kabupaten Semarang tahun 2012.Pollution caused by plastic increase worrying if there is no attempt to resolve it. Lack of knowledge and poor people’s behavior in the management of plastic waste can cause environmental and health problems. Management of plastic waste can be started from each household who produce plastic waste. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between the level of housewife’s knowledge with the behavior to manage of plastic waste at Kedesen, Kradenan Village, District Kaliwungu, Semarang in 2012. The study was analytic survey with cross-sectional design. Sample was 74 respondents with simple random sampling. Research tool used was a questionnaire. Analyzed used univariate and bivariate analysis with statistical test Chi Square(X2). The results showed 74 respondents obtained from 42 respondents (56.8%) are not well knowledgeable, 32 respondents (43.2%) both knowledgeable. There were 45 respondents (60.8%) did not have good behavior, while 29 respondents (39.2%) had good behavior. Bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with behavior of housewives in managing plastic waste at the hamlet Kedesen. Statistical results showed the value (p = 0.000) smaller than alpha (a = 0.05). There was a significant relationship between the level of knowledge with behavior of housewife in managing plastic waste at Kedesen Hamlet, Village Kradenan, Kaliwungudistrict, Semarang regency in 2012.
This research was aimed at providing evidence on climate change and health knowledge among adolescents. A cross-sectional study was conducted in Yogyakarta city from June to September 2016. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data among 508 adolescents who were in the second grade of a senior high school. This study revealed that participants had a low and inconsistent understanding regarding climate change and its impact on health. They reported that they prefer to get climate change information via talking with family. In summary, adolescent knowledge regarding climate change and health needs to improve with proper content and appropriate media.
Background : People's habits in disposing waste by burning leaves or plastic waste has negative effect on health and also cause pollution. This is due to the lack of public knowledge in the processing of waste and the impact of the waste itself. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the behavior of the community in managing the daily garbage and waste management know that has been applied in the hamlet of Hamlet Village Sidokarto Godean Sleman district of Yogyakarta.

Pemerintah daerah memberlakukan berbagai kebijakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan sampah sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab pelayanan publik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalahan sampah dan upaya penanganan di Kota Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Informan merupakan stakeholder pengelolaan sampah di Yogyakarta. Data diolah dan disajikan dengan metode explanation building. Sampah di TPA Piyungan tertinggi pada Maret 2014 dan terendah pada Juli 2014. Kota Yogyakarta penyumbang sampah terbanyak di TPA Piyungan, kemudian Kabupaten Sleman dan Bantul. Volume sampah tertinggi pada 2012 dan terus menurun sampai tahun 2014. Semua permasalahan ada dari sisi hilir (masyarakat), proses (pengelola sampah) dan hulu (TPA). Setelah semua diidentifikasi, dibuat suatu kebijakan pengelolaan sampah secara optimal dengan melibatkan semua lintas sektoral dan program-program pemberdayaan oleh stakeholder terkait.<p>Direct contact with the waste can be increasing health problems risk. The volume of waste is affected by population, population activities, and lifestyle. Government enforces many policy in order to address the waste problems. The purpose of this study was to find out the waste problem in the Yogyakarta Municipality and to know the strategy to handling it. Qualiative study was applied in this research. The informant was a delegation of stakeholder regarding waste management, with purposive sampling. Analysis data were performed by using explanantion building using content analysis. The highest number of waste was produced on March 2014 and the lowest on July 2014.. In Yogyakarta municipality, TPA Piyungan gave biggest waste contribution. . The peak of waste volume was in 2012 and tend to decrease until 2014. All the waste problems started from the downstream (community) , process (government who manage waste) and upstream (TPA). All problem were identified and government made a policy about manage waste that involved all sectoral empowering program by stakeholder on waste management.</p>
