Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model penanganan cedera sprin ankle pada Olahraga sepak takraw di IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian pegembangan dan memanfaatkan model pengembangan (Research and Development) yang telah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Dari hasil rekapitulasi data uji coba kelompok besar (n=20) dapat dideskripsikan bahwa dalam 20 bentuk latihan penanganan cedera yang di bagi mejadi 4 fase latihan, adalah 93,33% dapat di terapkan sehingga masuk dalan katogori baik atau dapat di terima. Berdasarkan produk yang dikembangkan melalui uji ahli dan uji lapangan, maka penanganan cedera sprain ankle pada olahraga sepaktakraw telah terbukti efektif meningkatkan pemahaman pelatih dan atlet atau mahasiswa dalam penanganan cedera olahraga khususnnya sprain ankle.
The core muscles are essential for stabilization and strength building in all sports activities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Swiss ball-based core stability training model for student-athletes of Pencak silat. Methods: This study used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subject of this research was the student-athlete of Pencak silat in Pontianak. Specifically, the sample was student-athletes aged 15-17 years. The respondents of this study were 60 student-athletes who were divided into two groups, the experimental and control groups, with 30 respondents in each. Analysis: Quantitative data analysis techniques were used to determine the effectiveness of the exercise model with plank instruments and modified bass tests of dynamic balance, before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics version 16. Results: The results obtained from the core muscle strength test using the plank instrument before was 1.8630 and after being given treatment was 2.763, concluded that the experimental group's core muscle strength was higher or more effective than the control group. While the value of dynamic balance with the modified bass test instrument obtained before was 26 and after being treated was 35.83. Conclusion:The balance test of the experimental group was higher or more effective than the control group. Based on preliminary and posttest evidence, Swiss ball-based core stability exercises effectively improve core muscle strength and dynamic balance. The effectiveness of the Swiss ball-based core stability exercise must be accompanied by a pattern of exercise that is in accordance with the muscle group and anatomical adaptation of the exercise according to the athlete's ability.
Based on observations in karate sport, the researcher found various forms of injuries experienced by athletes in karate. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of injuries that occur in karate athletes. The research used a qualitative descriptive method. A survey, using questionnaires and interviews for collecting data, was conducted. The subjects and objects of this study were 40 students who participated in the student activity unit in the karate sport. Place for conducting the research was IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The results showed that there were 85 cases of athletic injuries. It means that every athlete might experience multiple injuries in karate sport, including 16 athletes had cramps, 14 athletes had bruises, 10 athletes had swelling, 6 athletes had spasm, 5 athletes had strains, 7 athletes experienced sprain, 12 athletes experienced muscle gliding, 5 athletes experienced joint dislocation, 4 athletes experienced fracture, and 6 athletes experienced subluxation.
Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya untuk peningkatan sumber daya manusia dalam hal ini pelatih yang berstandar memiliki lisensi. Adanya peningkatan sumber daya manusia (SDM) tersebut maka cabang olahraga hockey akan semakin bermasyarakat di Kalimantan Barat. Program pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui kerjasama mitra dengan induk pengurus Provinsi olah raga hockey Kalimantan Barat yaitu Federasi Hockey Indonesia (FHI) Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, dan metode drill. Evaluasi keberhasilan latihan dilakukan guna mendapatkan informasi tentang sejumlah SDM yang telah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan wasit tingkat daerah Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, melalui penjelasan, demonstrasi, praktik dan pengulangan gerakan teknik dasar permainan Hockey. Hasil pengabdian yang dicapai adalah meningkatnya pemahaman insan penggiat olahraga Hockey tentang program latihan hockey.
