The main aim of this research is the creation of information technology for mobile (of rapid deployment) security systems of the area perimeter. This system appears to be a complex of models and methods, information, software, and hardware mean that have interacted with users during decision-making and control of implementation for management solutions. The proposed information technology aimed at improving the protection level for security departments by automating the process of danger detection for perimeters and decision-making for alarm. The structural model of the system, the model of the system's components interaction, and the model of identifying the subjects of emergency threats have been proposed. A method for identifying unauthorized access to the perimeter of the secure facilities, using the production model of knowledge representation, was created. It is a set of linguistic expressions (such as "IF-THEN") and the knowledge matrix. The method of ranking for objects, which are threats of unauthorized access to the perimeter for secure facilities, has been proposed. The practical value of work consists of the possibility of the use of this information technology by perimeter's security systems of various objects. Proposed models are complete and suitable for hardware and software implementation.
This chapter presents the use of enterprise architecture to manage the growing complexity in aviation. Any aviation organization or air traffic management system can be considered as a complex enterprise which involves different stakeholders and uses various systems to execute its business needs. The complexity of such an enterprise makes it quite challenging to introduce any change since it might have an impact on various stakeholders as well as on different systems inside of the enterprise. That is why there is a need for a technique to manage the enterprise and to anticipate, plan, and support the transformation of the enterprise to execute its strategy. This technique can be provided by enterprise architecture, a relatively new discipline that focuses on describing the enterprise current and future states as well as providing a holistic view of it. The authors describe the modern enterprise architecture frameworks and provide an example of an application of one of them (European ATM Architecture framework) to identify and manage changes in aviation.
The real cost of the air travel and air transportation has been decreasing over the past years making air transportation more accessible and thus leading to an increase in the demand for it. This allowed to expand the air connectivity network and provide more destinations for the air travel, including smaller regional airports. One of the components of the cost of the air travel is air navigation service costs for the provision of services by air navigation service providers and these costs are flat-rate costs. For small regional airports with low and/or irregular traffic these costs might be a burden limiting their development. Remote tower concept developed as part of the Single European Sky air traffic management Research program aims at optimising and reducing costs for the provision of air navigation services at small airports allowing them to better utilise resources and improve their profitability. Most of the air traffic in Ukraine is handled by a few strategic airports while small regional airports handle only a few flights a day and in order to provide air traffic services for those flights the regional airports are equipped with local aerodrome control service facilities. Due to the low traffic at the regional airports, resources and facilities aren't used in the most efficient way. The purpose of this work is to investigate the feasibility of implementation of the remote tower concept at Ukrainian airports to improve the cost efficiency of the provision of air traffic services at the airports and correspondingly decrease the cost of the air travel to the regional airports in Ukraine.
