Thyroidectomy is one of the most commonly performed surgeries of the head and neck and it calls for meticulous hemostasis as thyroid is one of the most vascular glands in our body. To demonstrate the application of Thunderbeat™ in a retroauricular approach thyroidectomy for the first time in the existing world literature to the best of our knowledge. Forty-five-year-old female patient with nodular goiter underwent retroauricular approach thyroidectomy using Thunderbeat™ with an open fine jaw. The resultant hemostasis was superior to the conventional techniques with excellent visibility and since the surgery was done by a remote access retroauricular approach, patient was extremely satisfied with the cosmetic outcome. Thunderbeat™ is a versatile technological innovation, which can be utilized in a range of head and neck surgeries to produce a better surgical outcome and high patient satisfaction.
