Abstract. Paradigm of Economic Development; Perspective of Islamic Economics Analysis. The capitalist economic system has failed because the rich exploiting the poor and a socialist economic system justifies the poor seize property of the rich. This problem becomes an important issue for the Muslim economists. Paradigm both the liberal system is exploitative, unfair and treats people not as people. Not pay attention to moral values and akhlaqs, a dichotomy between religion and economics, make man a slave of development and not development for human. This paper is a reflection phenomenon of damage to the environment, social inequality and poverty not been abated. So the liberal economic theories and concepts need to be reviewed by presenting a new economic development concept that comes from revelation that is the Quran and hadith. Finally, from the discussion can be concluded that economic development can not be achieved except with implementing Islamic guidance in everything. And the nature of development must necessarily multi-dimensional, included the gratification of physical and ruh. Economic development must also be able to create a balance between individual interests and the interests of society, kindness balanced and consistent according the rules of Islam. Measure of the success of development if the concept of caliphate, ‘adalah, and tazkiyah can meet all basic needs of every human being and nature conservation around for the long term future generations.Abstrak. Paradigma Pembangunan Ekonomi; Satu Analisis Tinjauan Ulang Dari Perspektif Ekonomi Islam. Kegagalan sistem ekonomi kapitalis yang membenarkan orang kaya mengeksploitasi orang miskin, dan sistem sosialis membenarkan orang miskin merampas harta orang kaya menjadi satu isu penting bagi para ekonom muslim. Paradigma kedua sistem liberal tersebut bersifat eksploitatif dan tidak fair serta memperlakukan manusia bukan sebagai manusia. Mengesampingkan nilai moral dan akhlak, memisahkan antara agama dengan ekonomi, dan menjadikan manusia hamba pembangunan, bukan pembangunan untuk manusia. Makalah ini merupakan satu refleksi fenomena dari kerusakan alam, ketimpangan sosial, kemiskinan yang tidak berkunjung reda. Sehingga teori dan konsep ekonomi liberal perlu ditinjau ulang dengan menyajikan satu konsep pembangunan ekonomi baru yang bersumber dari wahyu yaitu al-Quran maupun hadith. Akhirnya dari pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembangunan ekonomi tidak akan dapat dicapai melainkan dengan menjalankan ajaran Islam secara kaffah, dan sifat pembangunan mestilah multi dimensi yang merangkumi pemuasan secara fisik maupun ruh. Termasuk pembangunan ekonomi juga mesti dapat menciptakan keseimbangan antara kepentingan individu dan kepentingan masyarakat, kebaikan yang seimbang dan konsisten sesuai kaedah-kaedah agama Islam. Tolak ukur keberhasilan pembangunan ini apabila tuntutan khilafah, ‘adalah dan tazkiyah dapat memenuhi seluruh keperluan dasar setiap insan dan pelestarian alam sekitar untuk jangka panjang generasi selanjutnya.
As an effort to create a community of civilization, pesantren is required to take an active role in the life of society universally, not only tafaqquh fi dien but also trying to create a buffer of pesantren independence one of which is a cooperation of pondok pesantren (kopontren) a guaranteed survival of the pesantren's lifetime. Since 90 years ago Gontor has become a pioneer in inspiring pesantren to be independent at Indonesia, the step begins with developing an economic enterprise independently. This article is trying to examine the concept of kopontren which is not same as the cooperations in general, from that concept the strategy of economic independence of pesantren will be revealed. By using case study research in Kopontren Gontor with data collection is triangulation method, finally this article found that the kopontren as the only center of economic activity, the kopontren become place for cadre development and entrepreneurship training for santri, and the kopontren have been able to improve economic prosperity of society around pesantren
Economic inequality is a common problem for all people in the world. To overcome this inequality government intervention is needed through fiscal policy. Successful fiscal policy took place during the Caliphate Umar bin Abdul Aziz who used maqashid sharia as its foundation. One Muslim scholar who has deep thoughts about maqashid sharia and contributes to the economy is Imam al-Syatibi. For this reason, research is needed on Maqashid Shari'ah and its contribution to fiscal policy. This paper aims to examine al-Syatibi's thought about maqashid syari'ah followed by its contribution to fiscal policy. The results of this study are maqashid sharia according to al-Syatibi aimed at maslahah which is classified into three dimensions: primary, secondary, and complementary. Maqashid Shari'ah has a big contribution in three aspects of fiscal policy, namely state expenditure, tax collection and household costs.
The discussion of poverty has become a mandatory agenda in every country, including Indonesia. This is evidenced by the budget issued by the government for public welfare. This study will further discuss the potential of waqf in Indonesia as an alternative to reducing poverty in Indonesia. The data collection process is carried out by collecting books, journals, articles, and online sites. The results of the analysis found that Indonesia has a large potential for waqf, this can be seen from the population of Indonesia which is predominantly Muslim, the income occupation sector of Indonesia, and the employment sector of Indonesia's population. In addition endowments can contribute to reducing poverty in Indonesian society through meeting the basic needs of the community, community businesses, and religious communities. _______________________________________________________________ Pembahasan kemiskinan sudah menjadi agenda wajib di setiap negara, termasuk Indonesia. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan anggaran yang dikeluarkan pemerintah untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kajian ini akan membahas lebih jauh tentang potensi wakaf di Indonesia sebagai salah satu alternatif penanggulangan kemiskinan di Indonesia. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan buku, jurnal, artikel, dan situs online. Hasil analisis menemukan bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi wakaf yang besar, hal ini terlihat dari jumlah penduduk Indonesia yang mayoritas beragama Islam, sektor pendapatan pekerjaan Indonesia, dan sektor ketenagakerjaan penduduk Indonesia. Selain itu wakaf dapat berkontribusi untuk mengurangi kemiskinan masyarakat Indonesia melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar masyarakat, usaha masyarakat, dan umat beragama.
