Environmental education during a pandemic is something that must be focused especially on natural disasters. One of the skills needed to solve natural disasters is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The purpose of this study was to describe student HOTS to develop a Disaster Mitigation of Flood based on the Online Learning (DIFMOL) model. The research method used descriptive with data collection techniques using surveys. The results showed that the student’s HOTS score was still in the very low category (33.09). This makes DIFMOL need to be developed for students, especially in aspects related to HOTS, which are still weak for aspects of flood disasters. Environmental education innovation is important to improve students’ ability to overcome environmental problems. DIFMOL in this case, acts as an environmental education innovation related to the disaster that can be developed. This study concludes that students’ HOTS scores are still in the very low category and need improvement. DIFMOL is suggested to be developed in the next research.
Pada tahun 2018, terdapat 485 kasus dan menjadi 675 kasus kecelakaan lalu lintas sepanjang 2019. Sejumlah upaya terus dilakukan untuk mendorong dan menumbuhkan kesadaran tertib berlalulintas. Diantaranya dengan melaksanakan Pengabdian Masyarakat tentang keselamatan berkendara sepeda motor dalam menekan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas khususnya pada kalangan pelajar. Tujuan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini untuk memenuhi kegiatan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dengan memberikan penyuluhan agar siswa/i SMK di Kota Bekasi agar dapat memahami pentingnya berlalu lintas yang baik. Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan di via aplikasi zoom mengingat keterbatasan yang ditimbulkan akibat efek Covid-19. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini ini telah dilaksanakan dengan tanggapan cukup baik dari siswa/i SMK yang berada di wilayah Kota Bekasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tanggapan respon mereka yang meminta untuk diadakan lagi pelatihan dengan tema bidang transportasi lainnya.
Transportation as a means of development is an important and strategic factor in the running of the economy. It can be seen from the high demand for transportation services. Jakarta Capital City, which is a metropolitan area, has a high need for transportation, especially public transportation. The high demand of transportation is because the average population of DKI Jakarta is carry out economic activities as a businessman or office worker, plus people commuting from supporting areas such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi to work, study or other activity in Jakarta. As a solution to transportation needs, the Jakarta Provincial Government is currently building several mass transportations, one of which is the Light Rail Transit or LRT from Bogor and Cibubur to Central Jakarta. This LRT line is passing through the Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta and is planning to have a station connected to the bus terminal. This development is expected to be a solution to the need for integration of the LRT with the feeder mode in the Terminal. Based on this, this study will discuss the LRT connectivity with integrated modes at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal. The method used is quantitative descriptive study with the support of primary and secondary data. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the level of connectivity in terms of the time required shows quite good results, while the level of connectivity in terms of facilities also shows good results, this can be seen from the acquisition of the highest graph with an adequate value of 57%. In general, it can be concluded that the LRT connectivity with existing modes at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal is quite good.
Flooding that occurred recently has become a very detrimental disaster for the victims. This flood disaster is still a concern for people in Indonesia. Flood mitigation needs to be done to all levels of society, especially vocational school students. Vocational school students must be responsive in any situation because, after graduation, they are ready to work. Disaster mitigation is essential to be included in learning at school. Disaster mitigation is also related to the Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to always be ready and alert. In measuring vocational school students' understanding of disaster mitigation, initial research was carried out related to disaster mitigation and HOTS. The research subjects were 100 students of Vocational School in Jakarta who were randomly selected. This study used Google Forms as a data collection technique. The results showed that the students’ HOTS score was still low. The results showed that the Students’ HOTS scores on flooding were still low. The average score obtained by the whole students was 43.34. The male students obtained 30.27, and the female students obtained 45.97. All schools in Indonesia should implement early mitigation education that is integrated with HOTS learning.
