The concentrations of small ions, Aitken and Mie particles were measured for 5 months during the sununer season and their relations to wind were investigated. The concentrations tend to increase for small ions and to decrease for Mie particles with the increament of the wind speed, while the Aitken particle concentration is rather insensitive for the wind speed. The direction of the wind influences the concentrations of all the 3 types of aerosols, if the strong aerosol sources are located in certain windward directions.
As a sequel of the author's previous paper on the diurnal variation of upper wind, wind data at 4 km level over Japan were analyzed and it was found that the diurnal rotation of upper wind vector is systematic both in latitudinal and seasonal change, and closely related with the seasonal variation of solar declination.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
