Detection and distance measurement using sensors is not always accurate. Sensor fusion makes up for this shortcoming by reducing inaccuracies. This study, therefore, proposes an extended Kalman filter (EKF) that reflects the distance characteristics of lidar and radar sensors. The sensor characteristics of the lidar and radar over distance were analyzed, and a reliability function was designed to extend the Kalman filter to reflect distance characteristics. The accuracy of position estimation was improved by identifying the sensor errors according to distance. Experiments were conducted using real vehicles, and a comparative experiment was done combining sensor fusion using a fuzzy, adaptive measure noise and Kalman filter. Experimental results showed that the study’s method produced accurate distance estimations.
The development of ICT has led positive aspects such as popularization of Internet. It, on the other hand, is causing a negative aspect, Cyber Terror. Although the causes for recent and continuous increase of cyber security incidents are various such as lack of technical and institutional security measure, the main cause which threatens the cyber security is the users' lack of awareness and attitude. The purpose of this study is the positive analysis of how the personal and job characteristics influence the cyber security training participation rate and the response ability to cyber terror response training with a sample case of K-corporation employees. In this paper, the relationship among career, gender, department, whether he/she is a cyber security specialist, whether he/she is a regular employee), "ratio of cyber security training courses during recent three years", "ratio that he/she has opened the malicious email in cyber terror response training during recent three years", "response index of virus active-x installation (higher index means poorer response)" is closely examined. Moreover, based on the examination result, the practical and political implications regarding K-corporation's cyber security courses and cyber terror response training are studied.
This paper describes an existing force feedback system for an omni-directional telepresence robot developed by Chungbuk National University and its implementation with force feedback. The method proposed in this paper features force feedback on a joystick in order to reduce the risk caused by the delay between communications and to help a remote user safely adjust the robot when an unexpected situation occurred or obstacle is detected. This method complements the method being used in existing telepresence systems based on remote control, only depends on a camera and ultrasonic sensors to reduce the delay between communications. Additionally, it takes into account the moving speed of the robot. It is shown through experiments that the proposed method can detect obstacles effectively and print out the force feedback suited to a situation using force feedback based on fuzzy control.
This paper proposes an auto-parking controller for omnidirectional mobile robots. The controller uses the multi-sensor system including ultrasonic sensor and camera. The several ultrasonic sensors of robot detect the distance between robot and each wall of the parking lot. The camera detects the global position of robot by capturing the image of artificial landmarks. To improve the accuracy of position estimation, we applied the extended Kalman filter with adaptive fuzzy controller. Also we developed the fuzzy control system to reduce the settling time of parking. The experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed controller.
