This study have been carried out as a part of R&D project to develop a low cost high efficiency combined grain drying & storage system. The design of sweeping auger must meet the various conditions : capacity and dimensions of silo, discharging capacity of auger, operation conditions of auger such as revolution and rotation and density of grains and even the first-in & first-out of grains in the system. Through the experimental observations with the apparatus which enables the direct observation of discharging behavior of grains, the limitations of the performance of existing straight type auger was observed. Generalized mathematical model for the profile of new variable section sweeping auger was obtained, which ensures the uniform descending of grains and also meets various operating conditions. The experimental results with a prototype sweeping auger showed that the mathematical model for the variable section sweeping auger was quitely correct.
This study dealt with the controller design of the cooling system for controlling the inside temperature of the LCD panel console(the rest console') using as an outdoor billboard. The cooling performance of the LCD console that had been developed by the preceding research, was insufficient in the performance of the controller. In order to improve the performance of the system, in this study defined the structure and the design condition of the system first, after measured the parameters having influence on the dynamic characteristics, and developed the mathematical model for the analysis of the system. Finally planned a controlling scheme of the system and simulated the controller for the performance checking, compared the performance of this system controller with the preceding one. The purpose of this study is the presentation of the more improving method for the system control
The vehicle fuel economy is very important issue in the view of global warming. This paper proposes the three fuel economy improvement algorithms which predict the velocity using altitude data of the positions in front of vehicle and estimates their performances. The proposed 3 algorithms are WMGA(Weighted Mean Gradient Angle), RAADE I, II(Reacceleration After Deacceleration I, II). This research extracts the distance and altitude data from received GPS data and calculates gradient angle and road load for each section. The velocity profile according to proposed algorithms is made for Youngdong highway of 213km. And the test vehicle runs along this highway and fuel economy is measured. RAADE II of proposed algorithms showed better performance by 3.571% in comparison to the conventional CVELCONT3.
The compressing-cutting device is used for manufacturing nano tube. the purpose of this study is to design and manufacture the compressing-cutting device witch has safety and stable performance. The most important core technology, in nano tube manufacturing, is to seam the each end of tube with appropriate pressure and to cut it off into the two part safely not to leak injected medium. Since the compressing pressure and the cutoff speed make the quality of nano tube, they are very important. This study will show the processes of design and manufacturing of compressing-cutting device.
