The Authorized Economic Operator program seeks the facilitation of customs clearance to companies with procedures proved secure. By involving customs, it also impacts in countries' logistics performance, measured today by the World Bank through the Logistics Performance Index (LPI). LPI evaluates the logistics performance of countries in six dimensions-one of them customs. This research has analyzed the relation between AEO program and the Logistics Performance Index (general and customs). Through linear regressions, it was proved that there is a statistically significant relation between the variables, that the adoption of a country to the AEO program or similar impacts directly in its LPI growth and that the period of implementation helps explaining part of this relation.
