We deal with a data structure which is suitable for expression of the binary images. In general, binary images are expressed in raster data or rectangular dissections. In this paper, we describe that it is possible to reduce effectively the number of nodes in raster data represented by "octgrid" which is a type of octal grid graphs to handle heterogeneous rectangular dissections. Precisely, we propose algorithms to reduce the resolution of binary images represented by "octgrid". Furthermore, we compare by examples our method with the Hilbert scanning, and show that our method reduces the rectangular number by less than 50% than the Hilbert scanning does, in several examples.
M.leprae(ML) grow in the lesion which occur in the portion of the patient where hyaluronic acid (HA) is abundunt.Among the enzymes which participate in the hydrolysis of HA, we studied about betaglucuronidase, showing strong activity in the lesion and realized that the enzyme was host-originated. That suggested the biosynthesis of betaglucuronidase binding protein (BGBP) by ML. Accordingly we extracted BGBP from a leproma-derived and cultivable mycobacterium HI-75 and made rabbit antibody against that.In this study we examined therefore the immunoreactivity against the BGBP in the leproma and the other infectious lesions. As the result the immunoreactive sites for BGBP were not only in the leproma but in the lesions caused by the other parasitic microorganisms such as M. avium-intracellulare, M. tuberculosis, and hepatitis B virus. The results indicated that the other microorganism besides ML utilize the same type of metabolic pathway as the ML.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
