A novel transmitter, which does not require the up-converter at the baseband stage, is presented. The main difference between proposed system and conventional one is the use of an alias harmonic component as high-IF (Intermediate Frequency) signal. In this paper, each alias harmonic components are examined by EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) and, the RF (Radio Frequency) front-end using the 3rd order alias harmonic component at 180 MHz as IF is demonstrated. The EVM performance of RF output at 2150 MHz resulted in less than 4 % in the case of 200 ksps (symbol per second).

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
