The article concretizes the social position of the regional agrarian elite in the system of sustainable development of rural areas on the basis of factor analysis carried out by the method of principal components. A survey of 73 leaders and chief specialists of successful agricultural organizations in the South of Russia, traditionally represented by rural areas, was carried out in October-November, 2020 using Google Forms. The data was processed in SPSS Statistics (version 21) and used the Sustainable Development Goals proclaimed by the UN in 2015 as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals were assessed on a five-point scale of significance in terms of relevance for agricultural organizations in rural areas of southern Russia. The assessments show the social position of the regional agrarian elite regarding the goal-setting in the field of sustainable development, both in rural areas and agricultural organizations. Factor analysis was carried out by the method of separation of the main components with Varimax Rotation with Kaiser Normalization. We present the models of the regional agrarian elite’s social position in the system of sustainable development of territories.
In the article the theoretical foundations of the concept "Soviet people" are explored. This concept is disputable both in scientific and political discourses, different opinions has been expressed about the reality of its construction and existence. The article proves that the adjective "Soviet" was in active use as early as the 1930s. What is more, in a situation where the completion of the construction of socialism was delayed, in everyday speech "socialist" was gradually replaced by the term "Soviet". The study tested "Soviet people" as an ideological construct became part of the concept of developed socialism due to the lack of prospects for building communism in the near future. In the work, the authors come to the conclusion that the "Soviet people" is not just an ideologeme, but also a certain type of unity, which is confirmed by social practice. The unity turned out to be fragile, as the experience of the collapse of the USSR showed, but real.
The article presents a vision of urbanization processes in the daily life of rural residents at the regional level. The methods of studying the processes of urbanization in the daily life of rural residents were: analysis of approaches to solving the problems of urbanization on the example of the Strategy for Socio-economic Development of the Stavropol Territory until 2035, taking into account a review of publications of scientists in scientometric databases; analysis of statistical data characterizing the vital activity of the urban and rural population of the Stavropol Territory; analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey of the population. The study found that a scientific discussion of various aspects of urbanization of rural residents confirms the relevance of the topic and shows approaches to solving problems of improving the quality, comfort and query of residents on the characteristics of the living environment. There is a certain lag in the comfort of the environment for the daily life of citizens living in rural areas compared to urban areas. This position is articulated at the level of understanding and the desire of residents to the best forms and models of environmental comfort. In the Strategy for Socio-economic Development of the Stavropol Territory in the period up to 2035 and other program documents for the development of the region, it is given much attention to the topic of complex transformations of rural settlements, both at the level of target indicators and in the concretization of measures to achieve them. The positive dynamics of the processes of urbanization in the life of rural residents is monitored in terms of satisfaction with the comfort of living in settlements and target indicators of strategic documents of the territories and the region as a whole.

The presented article is devoted to the main phases of the academic and educational work of a famous Russian historian Sergei Ivanovich Malovichko who put a lot of effort into the development of historiographical trends – new local history and intellectual history in the Stavropol Region, and later in Moscow. The article points out S.I. Malovichko's close attention to the application of historical studies to the educational process. In the conclusion of the article, the relevance of the scientific heritage of S.I. Malovichko by Russian and foreign historians in the future is emphasized.
