Hailstorms pose a significant threat to all development sectors of the Republic of Moldova. Despite the availability of the intensive hail suppression operational programs the issues of their efficiency are very relevant for many years. In spite of expectations and previous claims the research findings show that the hail suppression activity in Moldova leads to increase of hail incidence rate (statistically tested at the 0.05 confidence level). Active influence on the hail formation processes has also environmental implications leading to the increased pollution of the environment by the active anti-hail components in the protected areas. Given the controversial effects and missing reliable estimates of the economic benefits, as well as environmental implications, additional investments for developing of the anti hail operational programs is not recommended.
This paper represents an analysis of the research concerning the use of fertilizers and nutrients balance in the soils of the Republic of Moldova. The nature and effectiveness of fertilizers, their infl uence on the agrochemical properties of soils, the protection of the environment from the pollution by nutrients in addition to the regulatory normatives of our country developed in order to determine the necessary in fertilizers for obtaining the expected crops have been as well discussed.
Abstract:The content of total and chemical forms of copper, the features of the distribution and transformation of compounds of copper in none eroded; weakly, moderately, strongly eroded; accumulative soil -deluvial of Gray soils and Calcareous chernozems from Republic of Moldova are presented. Erosion process led to increase the chemical forms associated with clay minerals, carbonates, oxides, and reducing the mobile and humus organic forms. The losses of copper in different chemical forms consist 33-35% from humus horizon of agricultural eroded soils. The data are using as ecological and diagnostically indicators of trace elements losses from soils surface.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
