One year has passed since the world declared a state of a pandemic caused by COVID-19. The main objective was to limit the number of people in public places to mitigate the spread of the virus. The Serbian government also decided to suspend teaching in higher education institutions, secondary and primary schools, and the regular operation of preschool education institutions. The habitats of all the inhabitants of the world have completely changed in all spheres of life. Offices and classrooms have moved into family homes and the question now arises as to how much digitization has made it easier or harder to complete everyday responsibilities. However, they all had to come to terms with the fact and adapt in a possible way to the current situation. Teachers and parents faced a difficult challenge, but perhaps the most difficult was for pupils and students, among whom many have not had direct contact with their professors for a year and they master most of the material on their own. The aim of the research in this paper was to determine how much the way of conducting online teaching in Serbia has changed, compared to last year. An attempt was made to determine whether more positive or negative grades were given by students for the approach and manner of teaching in high schools and faculties.
In today's time of modern business, where the most important environment or competition, which is increasingly specific to the globalization of markets and economic regulation, we can say it is unsuccessful without the use of digital technologies and the Internet. Powerful competition can bring significant benefits to consumers, taking into account that manufacturers are superior in terms of product quality, prices, service delivery, warranty period, deferred payment and various other bonuses to attract as many customers as possible to their product or service. The subject of research is the influence of the Internet and digital technology on the development of competitiveness.
Following the successful implementation of the Chilean reform, the World Bank proposed a solution from three pillars of the pension system: compulsory state, compulsory private and voluntary private pension insurance. Serbia, like many other developed and undeveloped countries, has only adopted the third pillar, in addition to the already existing state. The introduction of compulsory private insurance was also considered, however, there are no market conditions or financial possibilities for achieving this idea. Voluntary pension funds in Serbia were introduced by the 2005 laws. There are seven voluntary pension funds in Serbia, managed by four management companies. So far, the funds have achieved positive yields, although due to limited investment opportunities, these rates were very modest. In addition to limited investment opportunities, one of the problems is the accumulation of funds. The problem of population savings has many sides, and it is certain that some of the causes can be sought in bad experiences from the past. The paper analyzes the limitations and possibilities for further development of private pension funds.
In the matter of adequate Serbian banks' corporate credit decision-making process and fulfilment of customers' needs, this is a topic that involves a large number of potential and current banks' clients. Credit risk management theory proposes optimal combination of hard and soft facts for making adequate credit decision. The aim of the article is to stress that financial indicators should be analysed in the context of a company's overall business model on the sample of ten typical Serbian companies in the period of three fiscal years. Research results confirm that indicators such as turnover, number of employees, EBITDA and a company's equity are not enough to make final credit decision -approval or rejection. Furthermore, Serbian banks haven't made optimal credit decisions. However, new players on the financial market will have an impact on a company's business and structure of financial reports.
